Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love coming here. I dont know how to ski and cant speak Korean but its pretty easy to figure out what to do, and what slopes to go to. Dont know how to ski...use YOUTUBE and their small slopes are easy to learn on. By day 2 i was going down their BLUE slope. I have been to other ski resorts in Korea and this is by far the most tourist friendly and affordable. They provide discounts for US Soldiers.

It is a resort complex with leisure facilities for Golf and Ski as well as Condo accommodation.
The Golf Course has 27 holes of memership (east, south and west) as well as 9 holes of public course.

It has an easy access through highway from Gangnam, Seoul - just around 50 min. drive, but in a dense forests with 7 lakes.
The fairway and green are managed so well, so it is regarded as one of the best membership golf clubs in the metropolitan area.

My family and I booked a ski tour as it is the easiest way to go to Jisan Ski Resort. This place was magnicifent with beautiful views. Though it was packed with tourists but we enjoyed skiing and had a great time. It is a perfect place for first timers and family travellers.

We decided to go here as it is close to Seoul and is accessible via pubic transportation. i.e., 1) Board a train to Gangbyeon Station - exit 4 (Dongseoul Bus Terminal); 2) take bus to Icheon; and 3) From Icheon bus terminal, board Bus #12 and get off at Jisan Ski Resort. Note: Go as early as possible if public transportation is used since when we went the last bus from Jisan to Icheon Bus terminal left around 5~5:30pm.

Despite having an English speaking Korean tour guide, our family with 4 kids ages 3 to 14 did not have a successful first time ski experience at this report.

So for those who want a better holiday during Christmas season:

1. Arrive after lunch. Unless your family is used to -8 deg weather, it is warmer in the afternoon and choices at the food court are poor value (low quality and quantity, high price).

2. Rental of ski jacket, pants, goggles, helmet, shoes, skis and snowboards are 2 buildings away from entrance building. No ski shoes for toddlers (size 25). Plastic sleds are available but near entrance building.

3. Locker rentals need 2x500 coins.

4. No one will teach how to ski so better bring a coach or someone with experience. If not, most of your time will be spent pulling up the children or yourself.

5. The toilets are not clean, but has toiletries.

On the positive, there are different ski levels, which look fun and enjoyable.

A small resort not too far from Seoul or Incheon. If you arrive in the morning you can get a good couple of hours skiing. After that you get the crowds, especially after 11. Not very challenging but good for a couple of hours.

Had the most fun, exciting memorable ski of a lifetime. Snow and skiing was amazingly fun and trilling with much enthusiasm. Love the snows very much; beautiful resorts and big space and glaze to ski around. Many people were around here and having fun together ☺️☺️

We really enjoyed Jisan Forest Ski Resort. It's got a great layout and is perfect fpr families with beginner skiers as well as those more advance; (although none of the ski slopes are very big nor particularly demanding so not for 'Ski Ninja's).

Really great range of restaurants in the resort and what was so refreshing compared to Europe is that the prices were comparable to eating anywhere else in South Korea.

Staff are very friendly and helpful, and some speak English well which was a relief as our Korean is non-existent!

Only warning is needed about travel. It's quite a challenge to travel too if you don't have a car. Free Shuttle Buses do run from Seoul and back but at a very anti-social hour. We travelled by public transport to the local town but had to walk the final 2 km with our luggage to the resort as there were no local buses or taxis available.

Its just an hour far from Seoul , the capital city of South Korea. The bus is an easy to commute to and from. This place is great for ski lovers. The equipments and staff both were very good. The food facility is also there with some outlets.. Skiing here was a truely amazing moment for me ..
