Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The rock formation do look like the teeth but the pictures are way better than what you will actually see in real life.
There is small parking lot which provides free parking. To get there is a little tricky. IT will be helpful if you make sure that you have the directions correct before you get there ie dont just rely on GPS.
After parking, there is short 10 mins hike to get there.
There is nothing special here. and you probably will not spend more then 5-10 mins here to take a few pictures

This little hike is a MUST! Parking available most times. Don't be turned back by several keep out signs to the sides, just follow the path along the north side of the golf course down to the point. Be very careful as the ground is very rough and wear sturdy shoes. So much to see from views of Molokai to the tide pools teeming with little fish, crabs and crustaceans. Really cool pools that rise and fall up to ten feet as the waves come in and out. Watch for whales, Monk Seals and Eagle rays too!

The walk is easy at the beginning, from the car park down to the end of the golf course. It’s very rocky after that so no good for flip flops or anyone who can’t walk on uneven ground.
It’s a nice little walk - not very long but with fab views of the beaches on either side, and the rock formations are cool. Parking can be an issue, there are two free car parks close together but neither are big. Worth arriving early for parking and to escape the heat there’s no shade)

Nice walk along the ocean on the lava to a peninsula…saw turtles swimming RIGHT near the edge. We actually walked this whole area as it was super cool. Jumped the rocks into the ocean on the left side of the peninsula. A FAVORITE thing on this Hawaii adventure. Just be careful climbing back up the rocks if you jump. The water was CLEAR and very very deep. Saw a couple locals diving in w/no issues. ♥️♥️♥️

Easy to get to with stunning views. We walked out to the point and came across a cove with a beautiful sea turtle peacefully swimming around. Other sea life to mention as well in some of the small pools were water is standing. We felt like we were walking on the moon. Be sure to wear proper shoes and watch your hat it gets super windy!

After parking in the lot off Office Road, you will follow a path along the right side of the golf course. The rugged rock formations of "Dragon's Teeth" (aka Makaluapuna Point) are like no other. Keep in mind that these "teeth" formed when the force of the wind pushed against the cooling lava so it will likely be breezy. Do not wear sandals as the terrain is rough. Keep walking to reach Kapalua Labyrinth and a wave gouged inlet. Definaltely worth a stop!

A fairly easy walk from the small parking lot nearby or from DT Flemming Beach. Starts along a pretty golf course and you eventually get out onto this crazy edge of rock along the water. Very aptly named dragon's teeth. Some of the best views of the west coast. Cool little labyrinth out there as well. Would be a nice place to watch the sunset to the south west.

Remarkable rock formation that is an easy walk, not hike, from the parking lot allocated for this. Note there is limited parking but it seems the car turnover rate is high so if you don't find something immediately, it should free up pretty quickly.
Total times takes about an hour or so. No shade cover really. There is a garbage bin by the parking lot. No restrooms. 1 liter of water / per person sufficient.

We walked with my 81 and 84 year old parents. I read reviews saying to wear sneakers, etc. I didn’t pack sneakers, and had flip flops on, and it was an easy breezy walk out.
You do step on and over rocks, but go slow, and no issues.
Parking is easy, and the turnover of spots is fast.
We spent about an hour total, and it was just enough. No shade, but the ocean breeze and mist was refreshing.

We all loved the Kapalua area of Maui, and this short walk to Dragon’s Teeth is an easy one, and you are rewarded with interesting lava formations, a beautiful view of D.T. Fleming Beach, and a great spot to whale watch. There is a large hedgerow which marks the boundary of the Honokahua Burial Site. Watch for high waves and wet, slippery rocks!
