The Plantation Course is one of the best known courses in the world. The views are absolutely stunning. The course is very challenging. The only negative comments are that they need to improve the signage in a few places as we weren’t sure which way to head to a couple of the next tees. The other comment it you tee off in a few places that make it difficult to see where your ball lands on the other side of a hill. This is a very windy course given it is in Kampala.…

Over the years of playing this ‘Bucket List’ course, I have enjoyed many breakfasts & lunches at the Plantation House restaurant. The food choices and service are excellent. The views, overlooking the 18th hole, are gorgeous and include seeing the island of Lanai. Today I ordered the Avocado BLT and it was delicious. The breakfast selections are also available until 3:00 pm daily. Late January is a perfect time to enjoy this restaurant & property. Earlier in the month the Plantation Course is the site of the PGA TOUR’s Sentry Tournament of Champions featuring many elite winners from the previous years PGA’s events.…

We spent so much money to play here. The GPS system on cart barely worked. The pace of play was awful. We waited every shot. Multiple holes were cart path only. You had to walk very far and carry your bag. The ladies tees were very dumbed down. So many extremely short par 4s of 265. Thumbs down…

Fantastic experience!! We played it with a caddie (ask for Chris) 3 weeks before the Sentry Tournament. Although the weather was the worst day of the year with rain and gusts of 50MPH, TOTALLY WORTH IT. We had the course practically to ourselves. We'll definitely go back and hope for better weather! PS. Definitely try your luck tee off to the 6th green from the 5th tee (240ish yards to carry the ravine)!…
