We kept seeing this on cultural (brown) signs along the highway so we had to stop. It wasn't marked very well, and being Americans didn't know who or what Hundertwasser was. Once we found, it we laughed...it was very cool. It was kept very clean...More

Stopped over as this was highlighted in the AA traveller brochure. Very eccentric, interesting art and a good place for a pee and a photo!

Very cool public Loos! Definitely was unexpected. Toilets had just be serviced and were very clean. One of the better public toilets I have been too

I guess I am an uncouth peasant. I am unimpressed by this so called art work by an eccentric artist and now there is talk of building a similar structure in the Whangarei Town Basin. May it not proliferate. One is quite enough. If you are...More

Definitely a must see if you are in Kawakawa. The architecture of these toilets needs to be seen to be believed. Something very quirky and different.

These toilets were designed by renowned architect Hundertwasser. They are worth having a look at if you are in the area. It's difficult to describe what they are like, you really have to see them
