Spend a day with us exploring and having fun – you can catch a fish, watch our red squirrels play and then enjoy a meal in our cosy cafe/restaurant! Kilnsey Park offers activities for all the family including fun fishing, friendly farm animals, an adventure playground and a nature trail with butterfly garden and rare orchids. We also offer high quality angling in two spring fed lakes for those wanting to catch a fish in this stunning location. Visited this week with our grandchildren aged 9 and 6. They had a great time on the nature trail with their grandfather learning about all the different creatures from alpacas to bees. Our grandson enjoyed the fun fishing and caught three large trout to take home. The cafe has changed hands, the food and service was excellent. Cannot wait for... More

Previous reviews don't do this place justice! We really enjoyed our visit, from the warm welcome to the delicious lunch at the end. There is a lovely, informative walk around the grounds which our three-year-old loved. She was fascinated by the fish, the bee house and the animals and stood in awe watching the water boil out of the spring.... More

I have not visited Kilnsey Park for quite a few years and on going there yesterday I found the café vastly improved. It is now much more light and airy, the tables and chairs are not too close together and all in all it was a pleasant experience. The panini and the carrot cake were delicious and the service was... Having our son up from London for a week we decided a few days up in the Dales was in order. And since junior has recently taken up fly fishing where better than Kilnsey Park trout farm to get used to the feel of a fish on the end of your line. Things didn't go too well on day one.... More

An excellent place to fish, if that's you're thing, but we were here for a stroll along the nature trail. As we walked through the gate we were greeted by a mother duck and her young. Several duck familys were seen in the various ponds (containing trout, which you can feed (50p per bag from the entrance) and plenty cockerels... More

Kilnsey Park nestles beneath Kilnsey Crag in the Yorkshire Dales. The cafe and shop overlook the fishing lakes and look up to the crag beyond. The service in the cafe is exceptionally good and the food is excellent. As a trout farm, tasty fish are prominent on the menu and are always fantastically fresh, never frozen. It was about 25... We'd not been to Kilnsey since our six-year-old was a toddler so had a run out one Sunday afternoon. On arrival the clouds were looming dark and menacingly so headed straight for coffee and cake in the hope they would blow over. The cafe was almost empty when we sat down to our lattes, carrot cake, apple juice and chocolate... More
