This beautiful garden is tucked quietly away at the end of progressively narrowing lanes but your journey will be amply rewarded. The entrance is over a rickety wooden bridge between a row of stone cottages serving as a plant shop, tearoom and the office. Somebody, maybe the lovely lady who met me, will take your £7 and give you a... More

In fact you can only visit the gardens at Parcevall Hall, not the Hall itself. But they are located in a lovely and remote position in the Yorkshire Dales, with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside. The gardens are positioned on the side of a hill so you will need to be reasonably mobile. There is a lot of plant... More

I did not expect to see Rhododendrons flowering in April but they were lovely. Well laid out gardens with good footpaths and some unusual flowers. The daffodils were in full bloom and covered vast areas. The tea room was worth a visit, but be aware mid week in April was very busy.

This garden is on a very steep hilly property, and no accomodation is made for wheelchairs. The woman who sold us the tickets seemed to imply that I would be able to sit at the top and look at the view while my husband went on the paths, but when we got to the top we discovered that there was... A very peaceful and beautiful place with fantastic views over the Dales. There are a number of different routes, with variety of landscapes and stunning scenery. We came with two little children and took the longest route to the highest point of the gardens! It was beautiful and the kids enjoyed playing by the waterfall and climbing to the top... More

Not easy to find but a haven of peace when you get there. The seasons and the dales landscape are magnified at Parcevall by the well tended gardens. Its not a tourist trap but a retreat for residents that they let you share so dont expect fun fares and hamburgers just a quiet spot in a beautiful place enhanced by... More

The Yorkshire Dales is a place of great beauty at any time of year, with countless images providing a spectacular canvas for artists and photographers alike. There are also 'special' corners where even the jaw-dropping appeal of the landscape is enhanced by man-made creations. Parceval Hall and gardens is one such place, where a dedicated plantsman and subsequently a dedicated... More

A hidden gem in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Interesting gardens, even more interesting architecture and stunning views. Certainly not flat and level, but well worth a bit of gentle exertion. The cafe is basic, but food okay.
