A great stop off at this little museum which had lots to offer. Some very interesting reading and viewing. Would recommend a look in.

Came here with my friend and our daughters, aged between 7 and 9. The girls had a really lovely couple of hours dressing up, looking for things in the children's guide and playing pretend. it is a really small museum but there is a lot to see and it is free.

I brought my children here when they were young so decided to take my 3 year old granddaughter for a visit. A very good time was had by everyone, lots of interesting things to see, the coloring table was a big hit we spent rather a long time there. We will be back again.

A small but interesting museum up the stairs behind the tourist information desk on the first floor of the town hall. Entry is free but donations are welcome. As you might expect there are some good local history displays but there are a few more surprising exhibits. These include a hippo skull from when they roamed the Yorkshire countryside 130,000... Really enjoyed my visit here. It's quite a small museum but it's well laid out with lots of interesting exhibits. Quite a diverse selection of items but doesn't disappoint.

Spent a lovely day in Skipton and found this fascinating museum in the town hall. Full of treasure and delightful staff who couldn't have been more helpful or informative! The tourist office staff bent over backwards too, they seemed to really love their job and the enthusiasm for both the museum and the area was refreshing!!! Plus it's free!

If the Museum in question is the one attached to the tourist office, then we will certainly be calling back in the future, we only had time for a curory glance after picking up leaflets from the office, there is a ground floor section and an upper floor, both of which looked interesting. Hope to call back in the future... More
