This spectacular gray-stone fortress dates back to the 13th century, and is noted for its awesome views from the craggy hilltop upon which the castle sits.

Apart from a visit to the actual castle (and caves) there is a way-marked walk of about 5.5 miles which takes you around the outskirts of the castle. Includes some great views of the castle and local countryside. Note of caution - it is very...More

We visited here as one of our adventure days out, it is a very beautiful place but does not take very long to explore, a little more history about the place could be displayed but it was worth visiting

Great view on the surrounding area. But there is not much left from the castle itself. So you are finished rather quickly.

Signage is good to get to this stately castle. I suspect the weather had much to do with our brilliant day. The grilled cheese in the shop was perfect and topped off with ice cream w/ flake. The castle was interesting as castles are, but...More

Lovely place for a walk! The cave is really cool as well - a little bit scary and so dark so make sure you take a torch! Lovely castle!
