Had an excellent afternoon at The British Bird of Prey Centre. Simon took us on a hawk walk where we were able to fly a Kestrel and Owl (my favourite) and was very knowledgeable about the birds dispelling a number of myths. It was a real pleasure chatting to him about all the birds. We loved every minute of it and would certainly recommend this experience to anyone with an interest in a Birds of Prey. Loved every minute. Thank you Simon.

Huge shout out to Alex, Emma, Simon and the team at the British Bird of Prey Center. I bought an experience for my son for his birthday and he was keen to do more than just fly the birds. You guys went above and beyond allowing him to be involved in the food prep, weighing and handling of your special birds. I can't thank you enough for your knowledge, time and patience in making this a real day to remember, we can't wait to come back x

The flying displays are definitely worth the £3 if you’re visiting the Botanic Gardens, the falconers are all so knowledgeable and you can see they have a great relationship with the birds. The flights from the birds are brilliant to watch. It’s also good that you can have a look around the aviary at all of the birds there and read some more information about them, although when we visited they’d recently swapped a couple of the birds around so some of the information on the boards didn’t match up with the bird you were looking at which was a bit confusing! Otherwise though it was both entertaining and informative and I’d definitely go again.

Our latest visit was on Sunday 24th April. We have been there a number of times before, to visit the birds, to watch the displays and to “fly” the birds. Always fascinating and very enjoyable.

Amazing time, birds are so beautiful, it was amazing to be so close and have them on your hand, Alex was an amazing falconer who answered our many questions easily, he is very knowledgeable. The walks with the birds flying were just beautiful, we stayed for the display as well and enjoyed watching the eagle and barn owl and the goshawk. My favourite has to be boomerang, the kestrel but the black kite, the tiny owl and the Bruce kookaburra we just amazing, such characters, they all seemed happy and content.
It was a dream of mine to do this and I wasn’t disappointed, I would recommend this experience to anyone who like birds, it is awesome!
I just need a job there now!

We recently did the owl flying experience at the British Birds of Prey Center. Absolutely fantastic! Emma the falconer was friendly, knowledgeable, and a really good host. We flew 3 owls over roughly an hour and a half, then watched the flying display featuring kites, peregrine falcon and more owls. Highly recommended.

We brought the individual bird of prey experience for our birthdays. What can I say but wow. We had an amazing day. The instructions to get to the site were spot on. We were met by our guide, James, who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the birds. We took out 4 birds, a South American owl, kookaburra, kestrel and a huge black kite. All would come to our gloves for food, and had their own funny personalities. Leave a full day though, as after over two hours of flying the birds yourself and whike doing so, seeing some of the beautiful botanical gardens, you get to watch the falconry show and look around the rest of the site. Which is all included in the price. A totally recommended day out. Thank you for making our birthdays so special.

Hi there, you have to book for the 1-1 flying experience but I got the impression you can turn up for the public flying displays. I would message them on Facebook ...I did that and they are really helpful
