Take a step back in time at the Gwili Steam Railway, a delightful preserved railway just outside Carmarthen in West Wales. Running steam train services every day of local school holidays and selected days throughout the remainder of the year, this is the perfect trip for all ages to enjoy. Experience a typical country branch line from the 1950s with a stop off at Llwyfan Cerrig Station in a beautiful spot alongside the River Gwili.

Unfortunately due to the extreme and prolonged hot weather Steam trains were not available, but did enjoy a ride or two on a DMU diesel. Volunteer Staff were excellent and the little cafe was very nice.

We were told about this place by our breakfast waitress; and we really enjoyed the trip up and down the line on a real steam engine. However, you have to pre-order the cream and scones because they are quickly booked and you may miss out,...More

Our grandsons were so excited to be going on the train. We arrived at the station by a minibus after driving to a Community Centre. Enjoyed a cup of tea and coffee at a little cafe on site and served by a delightful lady who...More

Visited here with a group but as my husband is wheelchair bound the group organiser checked several times if this attraction was wheelchair friendly. However on the day we found that we could only access the guards van and not the carriages. This meant that...More

Not sure! I’d suggest checking out their website. It’s a charity run solely by volunteers so I’m sure someone will reply to any queries.
