Awesome beach to be in a hot day, nice soft sand and great swimming. Nice waves, lifeguards also telling you to remember the sun lotion 😜. No decent place to switch your swimming suit.

A beautuful beach for all the family and its situated beside Portrush harbour. There are toilets and and a cafe and its nestled below Barry's amusements. A great place to watch the Sun set!!

Lovely stretch of sand and so unexpected in Northern Ireland. Naturally we didn’t swim as it was very cold but it looked like great waves but it was still pleasant for a swim. Plenty of free parking as well.

West Strand is a perfect location. You can surf, stand up paddleboard, swim (although watch out for the rip tide). There is a great walkway into Portrush or you can head up over Juniper Hill to Portstewart. Only downside is the limited parking.

Great place for families, walking, running. Close to Portrush town centre, ample car parking with Life Guards on duty during summer months.

No dog walking is only aloud off peak September to May i think. However you can walk your dog freely on the beach near the lifeboat.
