    Annual pass disaster
Silent valley is great for a family day out or solo walks and mountain access, I buy the annual pass as I would use the facility quite regularly. However, trying to get the pass is a disaster. You have to complete a form, send a cheque then wait about 2 months on getting it yet they can cash your cheque and send a receipt within a week. You don't get a response via email then you have to ring and chase it up. Come on ni water, move with the times .

Come for a dog walk or stay the day.
Such a beautiful, calming place. So clean and well maintained. I walked from car park up to the reservoir which was a bit of a hike for an asthmatic 75yr old. But worth it. The views are amazing. Lots of different areas for different abilities, feed the ducks, admire the water lilies and do visit the tea room - tempting cakes and the sausage roll was delicious. I went in memory of my late mother as she hiked here as a teenager.

    Silent valley, Ben crom reservoir
Visited the Silent valley today. Although misty and wet on our return walk was definitely worth seeing the Ben Crom reservoir, walk up the steps and the other side was beautiful. 6mile walk, not difficult .

Scenery is spectacular, as the walks to Ben Crum dam.

Well impressed. The site is clean and well managed, there are a number of signposted routes to suit your ability and available time. We visited thd cafe and enjoyed the options available, just a shame the gift shop was closed.

Beautiful place for a walk. Excellent views you will need £5 to park. The only downside is the toilets are disgusting

Visited Silent valley this morning. Walked along the nature trail. Had lunch then walked up to the dam and along the top. Fantastic views. On our way back to the car park through the woods we caught a glimpse of one of the red squirrels that were released here three years ago. Very enjoyable.Nice walk.

Beautiful place to spend a few hours, its only 5 pound entry, ample parking, very well maintained toilets at the car park.
A few minutes of a walk up to gift shop and nice cafe. There is a duck pond and play area and plenty of picnic benches, 1 pound for tub of feed for the ducks is an excellent idea.
A short walk past the cafe you will come to the first dam of silent valley and what a splendid site it is, we walked along the reservoir approx 2.5 more miles out to Ben Crom Dam and it is well worth the walk, from the cafe out to the second dam is about 6 mile return trip but a beautiful walk and very glad we done it, we climbed the 300 steps at 2nd dam and the views are amazing. Will definitely go back again and can highly recommend this place
