This is a lovely museum to visit and is set in the beautiful village of Port Sunlight. It is free admission and opens at 10am.As you walk through each room it is full of furniture and paintings from Lord Levers collections. There are information boards giving information about each painting or exhibit you are looking at. There is an excellent collection of Chinese Porcelein and artwork as well as a lovely display of Wedgewood. There is also a room with the history of Lever"s soap factory and how the Lever"s art gallery was designed and built. The Sculpture room are also lovely and there are seats where you can sit and admire them. Once you have had a look around,it is worth going down to the cafe as it sells hot drinks as well as homemade cakes and pastries, sandwiches and hot meals. There is also a gift shop where you can buy souvenirs, located next to cafe. Definitely worth a visit.…

Visited on spec after a brief mention in one of my books. Fantastic 19th c gallery with many Pre-Raphaelite treasures. Would have been five stars but the long black hair in my lunch let the restaurant down. That aside it’ well worth a visit
