The Lady Lever Art Gallery, showing the collection brought together by Lord Leverhulme - the builder of Port Sunlight (Sunlight Soap etc.), is not large but has a very interesting collection. Well worth visiting and also seeing Port Sunlight.

Wonderful and varied collection in a great setting. They have recently completed some work and the museum is great. Really loved the whole collection. The special exhibit on Picasso's creation of a print was fascinating! The information on Lever and the way he used art in advertising was also interesting. If you are in the area GO!

As i entered i wasnt welcomed and had to wait 15 mins to be served. Then after observing the artwork which by the way took 30 mins and thats coming from an art lover like me. After that i had a hot choclate and some cake which for what it was it was patheic. Overated and expensive.

Port Sunlight old village is a delight. The whole area is a jewel of the past and it is rewarding just to wander around However right in the centre is another wonderful place - the Lady Lever Art gallery - take a look.

Our 1st visit to this gallery & not knowing what to expect was very impressed with everything about it. I would thourghly recommend a visit, a surprise to me & enough to be interesting to a variety of tastes including sculpture, ceramic & art. On top of this there is a cafe to give respite.

My wife and I visited on a cold windy day. What a great place for a day out. The numerous rooms are all categorised and information and description s are well distributed. Everything is here from famous artists to Chinese pottery to classic sculpture. I particularly like the themed rooms which display furniture and décor at it's best. A great... More

The Lady Lever Art Gallery in Birkenhead, Wirral, is one of the finest art in Europe. It's nice to visit this kind of museum where you can understand the history, the more you understand the past, the better you can face the future.
