Visited with our two children during half term. Easy to find, with an abundance of parking. The surrounding village is beautiful, and would have loved to explore if time allowed. Welcome was friendly, and the children's activities i.e.,Sketch Pad & art trail were easily available. Lots to see, beautiful paintings & furniture. Exhibits for the children to touch & feel... This is a magnificent building in a world heritage village.Look out for the special display events during the year. There is a lovely tea shop that you can visit without having to go into the main area of the museum. Also a very well stocked gift shop .Highly recommend a few hours here. You won't be sorry.

Incredible. What started as art for advertising soap (to bring art to the people, he said) became an amazing collection (one of his many), ranging from Chinese porcelain, Roman and Greek sculptures to Wedgewood treasures. Young children have a carry pack to keep them interested. You should allow for half a day, at least. Or more, if you want to... More

Lovely little gem of a place. Good for local history; all exhibits worth looking at, so well presented. Could teach another museum 'over the water' a thing or two. Easily accessible.

It is well worth going to see inside and out. There are many features to this Art Gallery, not just pictures, but many points of interest, too many to mention. It also includes a café which can be a very welcome break in between all the hours you can spend looking around. Go and enjoy !

Living locally we often call in. They often have local artists work on display. Great exhibits. Also they have craft days for young children to attend, which my grandchildren love. There is also a lovely coffee shop/restaurant in the basement serving food all day.
