Birkenhead library has history written all over it. It is a special experience just to walk through the doors of a building from the Victorian era that encouraged everybody to read and supplied books on loan free of charge. Maybe as a library it's time...More

A delight. Free books to read, also some dvd are free. Every one is helpful. You can order and reserve books and DVDs. Free wifi and the first 1/2 hr on the computers is free. Printers available. Refreshments also. Plenty of information of local activities...More

Beautiful 1934 architecture. Easy acces. Lending and reference facility. Friendly staff. PC suite with advice if needed. Magazines and newspapers to browse.
