Crindle Stables is a Professional Showjumping, Riding school, Livery and Competition yard, based on a working farm and stud. Situated on the beautiful Causeway Coastal route in Limavady, Derry / Londonderry. Our family run equestrian centre offers a wide range of horse riding lessons and many other unique experiences.

We had a lovely afternoon with all the staff and helpers at the stables, my two daughters had never been on ponies before and they both loved their experience. The friendliest, warmest welcome for us as complete strangers and novices.

I took my granddaughter for the first time. She has been talking about riding a horse for awhile. The horses are so well trained. The staff are welcoming and professional. My granddaughter is counting the days until the weekend.

Hannah enjoyed her experience at crindle although she got bit nervous when she tried to get on her pony but she ended up leading it around the arena on her first day and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know it and give it a wee groom

No words can describe how much fun we had today. We all really enjoyed ourselves and I highly recommend this to everybody. Hazel and the staff were absolutely amazing and I'm already wanted to go back even though I just left 10 minutes ago. Thank you!

The whole experience was absolutely first class. We were a group of mixed ability from very experienced to complete beginners and ages from 5 to 46 years old. Each moment we felt cared for; our needs were considered. The team’s approach was friendly and enthusiastic. We all came away having had a ride we will remember for years to come on a beautiful beach with amazing scenery. The dramatic weather didn’t bother the horses at all and therefore didn’t faze us. The views were incredible and we were in safe hands throughout, leaving us to enjoy ourselves at our individual pace, from ambling along to and exhilarating canter at times. We all wanted to take our horses home with us. We really fell for them and the Crindle Stables experience as a whole. We were passing through Limivady on this trip but will make it our mission to go back just for the riding! Highly recommended.

This was a truly magical experience for my son Matthew and I. As someone who had never ridden before I was able to trot along the beautiful beaches of Benone and Down hill (where a scene from Game of Thrones was shot) with the Atlantic ocean lapping around us. Hazel, Hannah and Amy were amazing. Hannah was an expert teacher, so patient and re-assuring and Daisy the horse was magnificent. If you are in Northern Ireland and want a dream experience you MUST check out Crindle Stables, you will never regret it!

I was gifted the beach ride. As an established but very rusty rider I was so impressed and had such a good time. Everyone was so friendly. Our group consisted of complete beginners, to rusty people like me, to regular riders. All were catered for. We were paired with an appropriate horse, and our riding ability assessed, before heading to the beach. We all enjoyed a leisurely ride on the beach, taking in the scenery, and getting a splash in the water. For those who were able, we were able to get a few canters and blow some cobwebs away. I thoroughly enjoyed myself, and hope to be back!

Came back this summer with young kids with a group of people. Staff and young girls were so friendly so helpful. Wonderful with all the kids. Checking safety and if kids needed help they were there. They made the experience so enjoyable. Kids are interested in a new hobby.

Crindle Stables is a WONDERFUL place. I grew up around horses and am very impressed with the way this place is run, from the professionalism to the creative offerings to the just plain good humor and pleasantness of those running the place! The happy ponies and horses, interested and responsible young people volunteering at the stable, mentored with care, who helping out with tasks and lessons, and Amy and Hazel all made it just great. Our two little girls who took the private lesson in the large pleasant indoor ring with very pleased with all the variety and activities the teacher managed to incorporate into their lesson for beginners. It was upbeat and fun. I know there are also group classes and bespoke adventures on the beach for future visits. Most highly recommended!!!

Fantastic experience. We brought our 3 kids here today. They never had any experience with horses before. The eldest is 5 and we have a set of twins aged 3. The boys absolutely loved the experience from walking to trotting I was very impressed with the instructions Amy gave coaching us through each of the activities. Our boys were on 'Daisy' and 'Blue.' Our daughter was a bit anxious about it. The staff were fantastic, she spent her time with 'Theo' they came up with alternative activities for her to do other than riding the horse - brushing the horse, leading it and sitting on it for photographs etc so it was by no means a waste of money for and anxious child. We will definitely be back. Next time I'll bring some wellies 🤣. 10/10 experience would recommend to anyone holidaying in the North Coast.
