Lovely park in winter, beautiful river and good paths. Ideal for dogs. Make sure you have your wellies!! Unfortunately a section of the path is closed and has been for a long time, which means you must return via the same path. But very beautiful. Toilets available at car park. No swings and slides.

Well tended and very picturesque. The beauty of the park was enhanced by all the hues of Autumn. Lots of pathways to explore, many varieties of trees, shrubs and plants.

We didn't see all of the park but we had a very pleasant stroll from our hotel to the café and back, not too strenuous for 68-yr-olds. The café was closed but I enjoyed looking at its lovely garden and there is a pleasant outdoor eating area.

Love the history surrounding this country park. A great resource for this area with many paths which are easily accessible for all ages. Make sure and take a look in the museum and use the cafe. It is delightful place to spend a couple of hours.

The Roe Valley Country Park offers some nice river walks along well maintained footpaths. The walks are fairly gentle and would suit most abilities. The footpaths are wheelchair accessible although I imagine some stretches may be slightly difficult.

Always enjoy the riverside walk along the Roe which looks different in every season. There's a good path along the river and plenty to see along the way. The coffee shop is a bit disappointing so perhaps bring a picnic. Good toilet facilities.

Probably over kitted myself out with the hiking boots:) it's fairly flat with well maintained pathways both sides of the Roe: ideal access for wheelchairs and push chairs. The whole circuit takes about 3 hours and while I pottered I was overtaken by a few fit runners who obviously use this place as a training ground. It's a lovely valley... More
