Short walk through a beautiful lawn with interesting history. The view of coastline from Mussenden temple was spectacular. Good place for photographers. Had steaming, tasty Al’s coffee in the garden of downhill damsene.

We arrived quite late in the day and our visit was quite rushed as we didn't want to get locked in. The National Trust Website does say that entry to Downhill Demesne & Hezlett House is charged, however we didn't find anywhere to pay to...More

By chance we started from the Gate where you enter the garden and walk up the path out to main field to see the temple. I would say it is an great sight and part of history there.

This is a real ‘pot of gold at the end of the rainbow’ as it’s a trek to get to but once you reach it it’s well worth it!!

The whole Downhill Demesne, gardens and Mussenden Temple are quite an unusual and wonderful place. The history is interesting, and on a good day, it's great to stroll around. Al's coffee stop at the Lion's Gate is brilliant too! Would love to see some sort...More

This is a beautiful landmark along the Causeway Coast. There is no charge to walk around the expansive grounds and explore the ruins of the old living quarters. The temple itself was closed the day we were there, but the outside is beautiful and the...More

We visited when the site was closed for the season although you had access to the land and were able to get up to the Temple just not into it. Also, the toilets were closed when we visited...just an FYI. Everything is outdoors and make...More

Travelled a long way to see the Mussenden Temple. Had wanted to see it for some time. But Oh Dear it was closed and worse still its surrounded by an ugly steel fence so you can't even get a decent photo. Bummer.

You can walk in to the grounds outside of hours, but you won’t be able to get in to the buildings. What are you hoping to do?
