Short walk through a beautiful lawn with interesting history. The view of coastline from Mussenden temple was spectacular.
Good place for photographers.
Had steaming, tasty Al’s coffee in the garden of downhill damsene.
If you are not sure to go here, please do so. This place is....just AMAZING. There is a great walk to his place. You have to go trough something like park and some ruin (sorry if it is not ruin) and then you will see...More

We parked (free) in the parking lot that is right near the Bishop's Gate bus stop and there was only one other vehicle there. You enter a tiny little cottage on the right-hand side of the walkway and pay there (cash only; less than £5/person)....More
The whole Downhill Demesne, gardens and Mussenden Temple are quite an unusual and wonderful place. The history is interesting, and on a good day, it's great to stroll around. Al's coffee stop at the Lion's Gate is brilliant too!

This is a beautiful landmark along the Causeway Coast. There is no charge to walk around the expansive grounds and explore the ruins of the old living quarters. The temple itself was closed the day we were there, but the outside is beautiful and the...More
We visited when the site was closed for the season although you had access to the land and were able to get up to the Temple just not into it. Also, the toilets were closed when we visited...just an FYI.

Travelled a long way to see the Mussenden Temple. Had wanted to see it for some time. But Oh Dear it was closed and worse still its surrounded by an ugly steel fence so you can't even get a decent photo. Bummer.
