What can I say! When the sun shines in NI, load up the car and head to Portstewart Strand. Yes, you have to pay to take your car onto the beach (free for National Trust members), but the sheer convenience of decanting the picnic rugs,...More

One of my favourite places in the world, so why the 4 stars? The entry price is becoming increasingly steeper and steeper (you can park on the road and walk down), the prices on the beach are getting higher and higher. My general grumble is...More

Have to say it's a beautiful way to spend some time. You won't regret it. It has a few sections with stone steps but not to many. Some breath taking views.

Perfect safe beach and great to be able to take car on. Good that dogs are allowed but are requested to stay on lead which is more than reasonable. Suggest anyone on holiday intending to use this beach regularly joins the NT as your membership...More

With staggering prices and no parking during the day for Harry’s Shack. Park outside the golf course and walk down. Or get there before 10.00am and stay all day on the beach for free say get there for 9.40 am or earlier!

This is an Irish National Trust beach with parking in the beach itself and a charge for non members. At first this seemed fun idea, but it is actually not great for relaxing, nor felt particularly safe to have cars driving up and down once...More

£6.50 to park but if you are making a day of it or are national trust members it's not too bad. Lovely beach!!

Stunning beach which is fully accessible if you’use a wheelchair or mobility scooter. Only downside is that the National Trust charged £6.80 to park on the sand!! Daylight robbery,it was always free until recently.

Can't see why not. Nice big beach there. Once you leave no trace all should be good.
