    Amazing VIP Experience
We had a VIP tour in February 2023 - it was an excellent experience and one that we will remember forever. The guides were excellent and knowledgeable - we have definitely learned a lot (including one or two collective pronouns). We were lucky enough to feed a tiger, meerkats and red pandas and see the animals close-up. It was an amazing experience and well coordinated throughout, we can't recommend enough.

    VIP experience
We just love Longleat and always have an amazing time. The drive through is fabulous with up close encounters with many of the animals. The boat ride is fun with the sea lions. I love all the animals but the giant otters and Koalas and just amazing. AS it was a special occasion for 3 members of our party they did the meerkat VIP experience which was great fun.

    Fantastic day out!
We returned after 17 years for a visit. It was brilliant!! We spent the morning looking at the animals and doing the boat and train rides. We fitted a lot in. The zoo keepers are so passionate about the animals and happy to chat about them. We had a decent coffee in the cafe. We did our safari in the afternoon and got some incredible photos of the lions. We lost our rear windscreen wiper to the monkies and some trim which we found hilarious. Be warned if you're precious about your car! The only sad thing was that we didn't get to see giraffes. Not sure why.

    Bronze VIP
Me and my 12 year daughter did the bronze VIP tour yesterday afternoon with Michaela. It was amazing she told us lots about the animals and their individual story’s and got us so close. The weather was glorious so we were lucky and got to see all the animals including Anne the elephant which was amazing. We had time to look around the rest of the park in the morning before we made our way up to the meeting point. Highly recommend this tour, we will be doing it again next year.
Thank you so much for such a glowing review of our Bronze VIP Tour! We're thrilled to hear that you had a great day with us. We'll be sure to pass the feedback on to your guide. The Longleat team.

    Fun Filled Zoo Trip!
Had a fantastic day at longleat seeing all the animals and walking around the beautiful grounds. We got interactive during the safari trip watching the monkeys on the car and buying deer food to feed the deers through the windows. All the animals were out, which was super lucky but it was a beautiful sunny day so we had high expectations of seeing animals. The boat trip was definitely the best. You can spend lots of time here and there are lots of places to get food and drink (quite pricey though!).
Hi Sophie, We're so pleased to hear that you enjoyed your trip to Longleat! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review :) The Longleat Team.

    VIP Bronze Safari
Wonderful experience delivered by Ronny and Sean. Both guides made sure that we had a really good time. It was really interesting to get insights into not only the animal breeds but find out more about individual animals, their history and personalities. Highly recommended.
So pleased that you enjoyed your VIP Experience with us! And appreciate your kind words regarding your guides, Ronny and Sean. The Longleat Team

Amazing - giant anteater experience was fabulous
We went to Longleat yesterday and had a feed a giant anteater VIP experience, it was amazing. Such a beautiful animal and it was fascinating to hear about her babies. The keeper was knowledgeable, friendly and it was well worth the cost, we were a little late due to the queues but only five mins and I was worried that we has missed it as I appreciate it is most important that we work to the animals timescale not our human one, but the staff were great. It was brilliant to see how dexterous she was with her egg and to hear where all her babies have gone to. It was a long queue but it’s Easter holidays and popular for a good reason. I am now looking at the monkey footprints on my car and the mangled aerial but it was part of the experience and I was well warned, plus we took my car which is not the main family car. Absolutely loved the day from start to finish. Thank you
Hi Cass, We're so pleased to hear that you had a great time with us and that you enjoyed your VIP Experience! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your review and share your feedback and experience with us. We hope to welcome you back to the park in the future. - Jen.

    Fabulous
Had heard from others that the outdoors monkey section was best avoided because of car damage done by the monkeys. My elderly mother has disabilities, but we were in a VIP tour vehicle and enjoyed the entire park tour. Our driver/ guide was so polite, friendly, amusing and very knowledgable. He gave us an unhurried and wonderfully detailed experience. We felt safe and comfortable all the way through. What an excellent variety of animals and all so well cared for. Don't let the rain put you off!

    Superb day out
A lovely day trip started with me thinking it was expensive. Extras included the bus tour- well worth it ! Excellent commentary by Oscar our driver. The house…wow. All other treats included, superb especially the boat trip. Weather helped us but a really good day out…just watch out for those monkeys !

Lovely safari park but not a whole day out with teens.
This was our third visit to Longleat in the past 10 years and very little has changed. The safari is the best part but it’s over far too quickly. The boat trip was fun however it was very short. There isn’t much there for older children. The animals looked well cared for and there were some opportunities to get closer to them. We didn’t venture into the house as after the cost of the tickets and snacks, it seemed a little too much. I’m sure we’ll visit again, if only for the safari.

Visited with amily on tour of west, as kids wanted to see zoo from tv. Nice place, we opted against doing the driving safari but still lots to do. Would recommend waiting for boat trip queue moves quickly and get really good viewing. Loved feeding the resident sea lions from the boat

Visited during half term. The event on in the Longhouse were great. It was nice to see Longleat supporting local businesses with sand art and pottery painting. These were also not expensive additions. The willow weaving was a great experience, and Apollo who was helping was lovely. My daughter really liked her, so friendly and kind. She is a credit to the team.

We have been going to Longleat for years and it’s still a great day out. Love the monkey enclosure, monkeys all over our car, so cheeky and funny. A huge array of beautiful animals with mostly all having lovely enclosures. Lots to see and do, something for everyone. We’d like to see a larger and better enclosure for the crocodiles and for some of the other animals in the animal kingdom - some are just too small and made us uncomfortable vs the safari freedom that other park animals have. The sloth enclosure is unacceptable and needs to be changed. Sloths are shy creatures and there is nowhere for them to hide, not enough vegetation. We didn’t see any sloths so I hope this means they’ve already been relocated. I’d say the koalas indoors are also disturbed a lot by people and need more hiding spaces. I didn’t love seeing the safari truck constantly tail the tiger, I assume this was for safety reasons but it just seemed as if it was being pestered constantly. Same with the safari truck in the wolf enclosure - in previous years the animals have been left alone and safari trucks off to one side in case of emergency only. It also felt too busy with cars at times meaning the tiger must feel quite stressed, I think numbers of cars entering should be monitored better for the safari in general. The boat trip is great, the guy super knowledgeable and pointed out wild beavers as an example. We enjoyed seeing the gorilla and monkey islands and of course the sea lion feeding as part of this boat trip. We loved feeding the lorikeets, a great experience and we really enjoyed the little train ride seeing animals along the way. The adventure playground is fab for kids, even our 12 year old loved this. It was busy and the restaurants available are the typical zoo type restaurants you expect to see - pretty expensive but to be fair the pizzas in pizza piazza were delicious and quickly served. We had an overall wonderful and memorable day during half term. Thank you Longleat.

Went on Sunday 11th as annual pass holders. We were looking forward to activities in the Longhouse. Very disappointing. So glad we hadn't paid for the skating. It was pathetic and so noisy. There was a very amateurish entertainer battling to be heard who was cringeworthy. The whole thing was underwhelming. The children went on the train and used the playpark and that was it.
The annual pass is no longer value for money now there are extra charges for everything. We have always loved Longleat but now not so much. The launch of the new season this half term has got off to a shaky start.

Our annual passes have just finished this month and sadly we will not be renewing. Longleat really has gone down hill so much. To start with you have to pay a £1 booking fee every time you want to visit on top of what you have already paid, charity or not this should be optional. This years festival of light was the final straw for us this time. The whole central area is so run down. Nothing new has been added for years. Toilets are cold and ancient and filthy. Food overpriced and awful. The house is pay extra. There is not much to do to worthy of having an annual pass anymore.

Came for the lights and Santa train, been coming every year as annual pass holders.for the last few years. The whole longleat experience has been in steep decline since lord bath died but this visit was the worst. It’s all about profit now at the expense of any quality or magic. Santa can’t even be bothered to have a photo or wrap his presents. You now get a Photo Booth and a cheap teddy stuffed in a bag. Children are nt allowed a hot chocolate , good god no, we have not paid enough for that 🙄

The whole place is packed to the gunnels, dirty and totally lacking any atmosphere. The days of the ice rink, lovely stalls , food and atmosphere are long gone.

Outside of Christmas is no different, half the stuff is broken or shut, it’s dirty and long Queues for everything.

I see the recent planning application stated a lack investment and that’s no lie. Blaming it on a lack visitors is, you can’t move for people there any more, it’s always totally over sold. The lack of investment comes down to greed. The reason you client base like us is deserting you is because you have massively increased prices, reduced quality and made the whole longleat experience dreadful. No ones Interested in going to cheddar as a sweetener. Certainly not interested in paying a £1 everytime we want to go, having already forked out a fortune to be “members”.

So that’s the last visit , annual passed not renewed, like so many of our friends. We have bought them for paultons park instead. If you have never been try it longleat might learn something.

The main purpose of our visit was the Festival of Light. The festival only tickets were sold out, so we got all day entry to the safari park, which included the festival from (I think) 3pm.
The safari park was better than expected considering the wet weather - some animals chose not to be out in it, which is how it should be. The monkeys were great fun - it's a shame these were the first encounter; it would have been a great finish if they were last.
The Festival of Light was amazing - I saw the Longleat TV programme, which is what peaked my interest. The main focus was on Narnia, then many traditional kids stories were depicted; all so vividly bright. Despite not having young children I persuaded my husband that we should go taking just our 18yr old - she enjoyed it, but not as much as me at age 60.
Well worth the 135 mile journey from Bexley. Husband & daughter grumped about the wet - I was having such a lovely time I barely noticed it! I can't wait until my grandchildren are old enough to take - and it would probably be better if they know of the stories that go with the light installations. We stayed at Premier Inn, Frome, overnight and it made a great getaway between Christmas & New Year.

Safari, Safari, Safari!
Lions and tigers and cheetahs galore,
Flamingos, vultures and many many more.
Cheeky monkeys will jump on your car without a care,
Jungle cruise, Jungle train, there's just so much there,
Camels, giraffe, zebras and Wildebeest,
Street fare and restaurants to rest and feast.
Christmas lights were a beauty, Musical tree such a treat.
There's just so much to do when you come to Longleat
