Fascinating

A superb chance to experience an ancient building and one that has been sympathetically restored. A great sense of history

We popped into the Tithe Barn whilst walking the river. There was some lovely craft, art, stained glass shop and a little cafe (no toilets!). The restored barn is stunning.

Asked the tourist info centre for the "main attraction" in town and was directed to this - WOW! If you want to see a well preserved building (thanks for a big restoration project) with a huge amount of history then this place is breathtaking. Check out the little farm buildings and gift shop and the really interesting pigeon holes in... More

Loved this stunning barn with all sorts of wonderful local artists, pottery and antiques. Delicious ice cream in the grass and a pretty walk along the river.

We had walked along the canal and saw this. The size and structure was impressive. No charge for entry.

The barn whit the surrounding is a great place to visit , a real impressive barn from the Saxon time. Nice green areas that you can have a picnic in.

I only managed to pay a very quick visit here, although I would like to have dedicated more time. I was unable to gain access at the time, so was only able to photograph the building externally. It is a larger building than I had imagined. I do need to read up on the history of the place and perhaps... More

Cathedral like tithe barn a bit of a beauty. We came across it after a beautiful riverside walk, and it all seemed a bit of a dream! The prices in the gift shop attached were real enough, but entry to the gorgeous structure was free, so we went home happy.

A superb complex of buildings in mellow stone with a massive beamed roof cannot fail to impress. The he sets of doors add to the rugged strength of this ancient building
