    Ice Cream to Die For!
Were staying in Buxton on a Weeks Vacation. Our Host in the Coach House left us varies Recommendations. The 4 of us all adore Ice Cream. Having visited Thornbridge Gardens we made a small detour to Tagg Lane Dairy. What a find! I think between the 4 of us we must have had everyone of their 8 Selections of Ice Cream. All extremely Scrumptious & served by 2 very Pleasant Ladies.

    Great Ice Cream and Milk
This dairy has an incredible selection of flavours of ice cream. I had a pistachio and pomegranate which was really tasty. Step son had cookies and cream and husband had coffee and salted butter caramel. All ice creams went down well. My husband also enjoyed a coffee, and best of all we were able to take a bottle of Raw Jersey Cow Milk back to our camp site. The only disappointing element is that you cannot take dogs into the shop, so if you are a solo visitor, you will either need to tie your dog up outside or leave them in the car (which may not be possible in normal summer climate!) Fortunately my husband was with me so he was able to wait with the dog after inspecting the flavors first. The Raw Milk was incredible, and it is an attraction we would visit again.

    Delicious treat
Whilst on holiday in the Peak District I had to stop in at Tagg Lane as two friends who live in the area had separately recommended the ice cream. The gelato was absolutely delicious, so creamy and luxurious. After a long day of hiking double scoops were in order and we can personally vouch for the honeycomb, salty peanut and raspberry. It was very busy so clearly is a top spot

Best icecream around and at a good price.
Just wow! Read reviews and this place is amazing. Ice cream is fantastic, creamy and rich. You can tell it’s proper stuff. Staff really nice and helpful and the place was spotless. We went about an hour before they closed and there was tons of flavours on offer. We will be back to try the other flavours. We have another 3 days left of our holiday! We bought the jersey milk, frozen burgers and sausages as well. Delicious.

    Family Trip for Ice Cream
What a wonderful find. Freshest, tastiest ice cream that you can hope for. Lovely parlour where you feel like your money goes to a local family that appreciates it. Strawberry ice cream and Pistachio ice creams today we're superb! Hoping to head back before my holiday is over.

Amazing ice cream and hot chocolate
Absolutely amazing ice cream/gelato from Tagg Lane today. Not many tables but we hit lucky as it was quiet and managed to get seated. Some work going on ATM and not sure what's planned but didn't affect our visit. We had the hot chocolate and some gelato. The hot chocolate was made with real melted chocolate and cream was from the whipped cream machine. Absolutely divine! Gelato we chose was ferrero rocher, salted caramel cremino and salty peanut. The best by far was the salty peanut. We also opted for a slice of the Bakewell cake and oh my days, such a fab choice. Cake was so moist, lovely almond flavour, laiden with jam and cherries, covered in flaked almonds and iced on the top too. Would definitely recommend

    The best Ice cream
We visited Tagg Lane Dairy for the second time recently. Even though it was freezing cold and pouring with rain, the ice cream is not to be missed if you are in the area. Lots of flavours to choose from and it’s amazing quality. We had our dog with us so ate in the car but the seating area looks lovely as well. Would highly recommend commend a visit

    Wow - beautiful ice cream!
When out and about the other day, we came across Tagg Lane Dairy, but we were unable to stop. We just had to go back a few days later, and well, we were so glad we did! The ice cream is absolutely gorgeous! Three of us all had different ice cream, and not one of us could complain at all. We spent the journey back talking about how much we enjoyed it. I can't make a make a personal comment on the coffee as I don’t drink it, but my mum and her friend had one, and they said how beautiful it was! I honestly cannot wait to go back again.

This is the best ice cream ever! Better than we’ve eaten in Italy! We have some good ice cream farms in Cheshire but not as good as this. If you are in the Peak district or Staffordshire moorlands it’s worth a visit!

Great tasting ice cream but very Expensive. Two ice cream sundaes served in plastic cups for £24. A little bit pricey for what you get.

Still nice ice cream and coffees etc.

Unfortunately, the elderly owner obviously has nothing better to do but sit in the cafe. It is obviously fine for him to take up a table and glare at people, but don’t you DARE sit at a table as a couple if there is another table with two spare spaces at. It matters not that they are total strangers. You must sit with them in case a group of 5 may possibly enter at some point. Even though we had stuff with us which we then had to take up the table of this random couple. So much for a nice quiet rest and conversation with my wife. We had to have an awkward polite conversation with this random couple whilst he sat there, taking up a table for two, putting people off coming to sit down.
“Party of 5 or non shall enter!”

So if you want a nice quiet ice cream or coffee with your partner and a private conversation, then stay in your car or go elsewhere!
