An excellent adventure ride. Used to visit cable car, that’s great too. Change trains to main line one stop. Travel all day after ticket bought.

I've been to a number of preserved railways and this one is right up there for enjoyment and staff friendlyness. Lovely run on the train and very clever to have a steam engine one end and diesel the other allowing for all tastes!

This is one of the shorter preserved lines but one day it might extend further along the old Midland main line track that it occupies. There is no turning or run-around facility at Matlock so there are two locomotives on the train - one diesel...More

Not much for the kids to do, the train ride seemed very slow and boring, especially having already travelled to Matlock by train.
