Visited here after noting the voucher on groupon. It was a pleasant afternoon out with our niece despite being cold. We needed to take our nieces pushchair and the footpaths weren't great for a pushchair. I would say the service in the cafe was fine albeit slow (2 tables ordered drinks after us and recieved them before we recieved ours-we... More

We went in winter, so paths were covered with giant puddles as had been raining the previous few days. I thought some of the conditions the animals were in weren't great - the rabbits and smaller animals in the barn were just on the floor with no bedding, sawdust etc. There was some veg in a bowl that hadn't been... Visited on a very cold day with a friend and her 2 year old son after getting a groupon voucher. Pleasant and very patient lady in the gift shop who kindly lit the fire inside and made us hot drinks whilst my friends son was having a mini melt down. Lots of farm animals to see and feed out in... My daughter was a little young to take advantage of everything on offer, but we had a good time anyway! They have a good selection of animals that you can feed on the way round and even a petting area for some of the smaller animals. Beware if going during wet weather though as the paths around the animals get... More

We've visited Matlock Farm Park several times over the past four years with our son, its always a fantastic day out and we always have a brilliant day! The last time we visited was to see Santa, who was noticeably (to us) one of the regular staff who works with the animals, of course our son was none the wiser... More

Visited here while staying at Darwin Forest and it was a great day out, we spent the whole day here and loved it, horse rides (first time for my children) lots of animals and interactive shows. Cafe is nice and does a variety of food.

Took my son to Santa's grotto. Described as rustic, and advertised was a pony ride to the grotto. No pony ride and the grotto was a cold dark shed. Santa didn't really have much to say either. It wasn't busy and the whole experience lasted less than a minute. Couldn't see any of the other attractions advertised either (crafts etc.)... More

Been a couple of time and both time have enjoyed my visit. Both my girls aged 4 & 1 have loved it. It isn't too expensive and the new café/restaurant is well run. You can spend time feeding the animals or just walk around. The staff are very friendly and always willing to help and answer your questions.

A few fields with the odd animal. Very average. For £7 each you'd expect the odd path and information signs. I wouldn't recommend. Sorry.
