Booked a day of gold for twenty Called ahead regards breakfast and told it was nearly £20 each and no negotiation. In the end we all stopped at the Cardinals Hatt, a mile down the road. All you can eat, continental and full English for a tenner. Really worth stopping off, en route.

Played the Nicklaus Course in summer conditions, 3 single figure handicappers. The course was in very good condition and it's an excellent golfing challenge. Many extremely picturesque holes. You need to plot your way around and stick to the fairways. Would play it again. We were told we had to keep buggies to the cart paths, which seemed unnecessary in... More

Golf courses are great, but service outside of golf was abysmal. Food barely adequate and very expensive. They really need to up their game if they want to be seen as some sort of resort.

3 of us stayed and played Fri-Sun. Amazing setting and good fun golf to be had with the Nicklaus course being truly sensational. Every hole is a challenge and demands utmost care and attention if you are to score well. It's a long walk so a buggy seems a good idea until you realise that you must keep on the... More

An amazing trip, playing the Kernow and the Nicklaus signature courses. After a couple of days of rain we were expecting it to be soggy, but the drainage is excellent and everywhere was very playable. The Kernow course was a great introduction - very well designed with stunning views and beautiful holes. The Nicklaus course is the best course my... More

We have played the Nicklaus course at St. Mellion a couple of times and have been blessed with excellent, dry weather on each occasion. I would imagine it can get a bit wet and boggy following rain but our experiences have been first class. This is a championship golf course, make no mistake. It is tight and narrow on a... More

Along with a group of friends, I had the pleasure of playing both the Kernow and Nicklaus courses in May. The experience, particularly of the Nicklaus course, was unforgettable, but you really need to be on top of your game to do well here. And a very demanding course physically due to the hilly terrain, so I would definitely recommend... More

the spa with its pool, aqua aerobics classes and sauna was a nice way to spend a morning. I walk along the local lanes to a nearby pub had very little traffic and amazing scenery. I drove the golf buggy round on the second day as the hills were a little tough on the old man.

We played this course after having been at Saunton and Porthcawl and it is not in the same class. The course I believe is up for sale and consequently there does not seem to be a lot of money spent on either the course or facilities. The club house is a bit of a rabbit warren. The course itself is... More

we had a wedding on the 23rd of April. we were lucky enough to set up the night before which helped. the rooms were clean and comfortable. i can't thank all of the staff enough. I'm sure the guest had a great night, and the bride and groom were very happy the next day when we saw them. once again... More
