Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My great niece Amber and I had a fantastic Owl experience delivered by Sarah, with the assistance of Keith. Sarah's knowledge, patience, consideration, level of enthusiasm and sunny personality were amazing! Amber and I learnt SO much, at the same time as having fun. The facilities and the care of all of the wildlife was outstanding. We would both recommend a visit and an Experience from Talon Falconry, Lightwater Valley, Ripon.

We visited the Lightwater valley falconry and were very impressed with the conditions the birds were kept in and the birds themselves. The photo opportunity was handled with care both on the birds part and the children's part, the handlers had an obvious rapport with the birds.

You can see a show which includes 3 birds of prey, included in the admission price at Lightwater Valley. There is a small lawn like seated area where the birds flying, feeding and also landing unexpectedly but painlessly on visitors heads. Very impressive with commentary throughout. Suitable for all ages, particularly the young. Saw a barn owl, Harris hawk and a Peregrine falcon on the day. The centre also houses snakes and a selection of other birds.

We were surprised to find that we no longer had to pay, and that it's now considered as part of the theme park. We have been visiting for years and love to see the birds my children particularly love Rocky and hold her every time we visit. The attendants are very knowledgeable and are prepared to answer all your questions. The shows at 2 and 4 pm are Fantastic and we'll worth a watch. To have your picture taken with the birds you can now only do this in the theme park. 2 of my children once again held Rocky the biggest owl I have ever seen! Well worth a visit...

Our daughters bought us a trip to Talon Falconry for Christmas which we recently used.
We had a wonderful day out and the staff were so knowledgeable patient and friendly it was a great experience.
We handled several birds which were in no way nervous of us and they seemed quite relaxed about the whole thing we loved the experience and will visit again

Got an Owl Experience from Amazon local. Didn't know much about owls so went for the interest factor. Had a fab day handling small, medium and large owls then flying a barn owl. Learnt loads. Chris and Sarah superb, fonts of knowledge which they are happy to impart. Other birds to see too, plus ferrets, rabbits and snakes. Great day out, thoroughly recommend.
