Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited today for cuppa with grandson and hubby. Having been numerous times and thoroughly enjoyed surroundings and food, and like supporting local business, we actually couldn't believe we were charged £1.30 for a small slice of toast for our grandson, and £2.50 for a cup of tea! The food and service was lovely, though paying almost £25.00 for a breakfast bap, small breakfast, tea and toast was a bit much. I totally understand that hospitality has suffered lately, but really.. £1.30 for one small slice of toast??? Doubt if we'll be back...

Was in today with family,. Was disappointed with breakfast that i had ordered. The sausages where cheap and couldn't eat them and other family members ordered poached eggs that came out rock hard. For the price that they charge it is very poor quality of food. I brought it to the attention of the waitress when paying and they said that they would pass my message onto the chef. I am sorry to say that this experience has put me off from returning

Nice tea room full of men in tweed jackets and linen trousers and women wifh nicely coiffered hair. Still the china was cheap, ulster fry was on menu and the napkins were paper and so was the sugar. Could be so much better with vintage china: the setting is so utterly perfect. Front hall carpet is a bit retrio pub. Waitresses are absolutely lovely: cheerful irish women and unusually in this day and age: there is full table service. I really think more should be made of this place: think Nationsl Trust would do an excellent job.

We went for coffee at Brownlow House. It is a calendar house. The grounds are immaculate, and it's next to Lurgan Park. I've got a broken ankle. As we arrived, a man approached us and said that my Dad could drive to the back door, where I could be on the level rather than climbing up the stairs. There is a great range of breakfast options, including pancakes and frys. We had coffees and scones. I had a caramel steamer and a white chocolate and raspberry scone. It came with real butter and raspberry jam. The bathroom was pristine, and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Mobility issue? Just drive round the back. It's well worth it.

We visited with friends for breakfast.
I asked for one dish and asked that bacon be swapped for sausages. Point black refusal by the staff.
Considering that they woukd be cooking sausages and bacon ad nausium for breakfast, I fou d this an incredible response.
Previously this wouldn't have been an issue, but their new cooking staff must be jobsworths.
I will not be back after this deplorable service

Called in today for a coffee and scone. The staff were very pleasant and we were seated and order taken. The scone and coffee arrived, well impressive just about covers them. The scones were delicious and the coffee was great. The whole experience was very enjoyable. Definitely will be back, the lunches being served looked amazing. This place is well worth a visit.

The House itself beautiful, toilets worth a visit, so clean and decorated old style. Can’t wait to go back.

Visited here on Saturday 15 January for afternoon tea at 2.30. We received a lovely welcome from one of the waitresses ,she showed us to our table and took our orders, when afternoon tea arrived she told us just to let them know when we needed fresh tea , coffee etc. At 3.15 after several attempts to attract one of the staffs attention for aforementioned drinks I had to go and find a member of staff in the kitchen and ask for fresh tea etc she was not friendly and seemed surprised to be asked, she then informed me they were now closed! I informed her this could not be the case as we were still waiting for top ups of tea etc she went off to speak to her boss who I am assuming told her to serve us, she did so but did not appear happy about it. Food was mediocre sandwich fillings unimaginative, the room was very cold we asked if the radiator at our back could be turned on but were told it was not possible. My impression of afternoon tea is that it is something to relax and linger over we won't be back.

Paid £25 per person for a 3course meal

Starters- garlic mushrooms, I expected the mushrooms to be in bread crumb but it wasn't, it was sautéed in a creamy sauce, which was ok but it was heated up enough.

Mains- roast beef, potatoes and veg.
Awful. Beef obviously bought in and reheated. Vegetables were frozen veg, mushy.... potatoes were rock hard. Awful Luke warm plate of food! And when I looked round at other dinners... I could tell they were all NOT enjoying their food either!

Dessert - cheesecake. It was the nicest course. It tasted the way it was suppose to.

I dread the day I have come back to this place for another function/party!
