This is the second time we’ve visited. We thought we’d give it another chance as the first time we barely saw any animals.
I’m afraid this was very much the same. There were a lot of empty pens/fields. The park is huge so there was a lot of walking around not looking at much.
The dinosaur section was brilliant and our young son loved that. But we probably won’t return for the price it costs and what there is to see.

Amazing day! Has to be one of the best wildlife places we have visited. We spent all day here from 9am till 6pm.
Lots of animals to see in huge enclosures, plenty of play areas, walk through animal parks, lots of seating areas and grass areas for picnics. Cafe points to grab a hot drink spread around the park so you were never to far from a cafe. Toilets were immaculate always people in cleaning them.
The cleanliness of the whole park was amazing, lots of staff picking up litter, emptying bins, cleaning Toilets to keep the whole park looking amazing.
The gift shop is reasonably priced aswell not ridiculous prices for a Teddy like you get in some gift shops.
We loved that when the park closed we could still hang around outside and we grabbed some food in the cafe bistro before we drove the 3 hours home.
Will definitely visit again

Hardly any animals and lots of empty pens massively disappointing such a waste of money won't be returning. 27 pounds a person and not worth the money ended up bored and left early. A long walk to the exit and nothing to be seen along the way might as well have just walked around clumber park as all we saw mainly was green fields and areas where animals should of been. Then on getting a drink the lady was so slow at getting the drinks . Kept procrastinating so most of are time was took up waiting in the queue with 3 people on it . We wanted to leave and won't be returning.

It’s been a few years since I’ve been due to covid and being a carer. Blown away by the update to park the new entrance and the enclosure’s for the animals, compared to other zoos etc where enclosures could be smaller here at Yorkshire wildlife park there is emphasis on room for the animals to roam and do as they choose. What I like most is the rescue and supporting wildlife organisation to support animals in the wild, worth every penny of admission knowing it going to support the ongoing care for example the lions means a lot to me.

What is also important to me is having toilet facilities as i have invisible disability Crohn’s disease and need access to toilet facilities is important for me to have a relaxing day out know I’m not worrying where the toilets are.

Superb experience. Lots of dining areas, picnic areas that are outdoor and indoor and many shops and toilets. Huge Land area, bring comfy shoes but amazing amount of animals there.

We visited here for the second time, having visited previously last year when some walk through areas and indoor enclosures were still closed due to Covid rules, and were pleasantly surprised when we saw how much the park has grown in that short time!
The entrance had even moved to the opposite side of the park and the huge area for the sea lions was amazing! Sadly, as with our previous visit we didn’t see any Hyenas! The Red Pandas, often hiding in trees, we very sociable and we saw them all on this visit!
The park is more like a walkable safari park than a zoo and the animals enclosures are of a great size. The Lions, Tigers and Polar Bears were the stars of the show. It’s a shame the park doesn’t give more information (and up to date) about some of the main animals there (eg the Lions had 9 showing on the board when I believe only 6 are now resident there). Information boards for the names/ages of the Polar Bears would be good as well as the general information already provided.
Plenty of seating areas for a picnic or to get takeout food.
Excellent venue and setting!

The fantastic Yorkshire Wildlife Park, not far from home & ever expanding.
Great enclosures, well kept animals, & rescue operations, great walk around, lot's of picnic areas & eateries.
Great new Dinosaur "Pangea" exhibit, the kids loved it.
Used the mobility scooter for the first time for elderly parents & they thought it was fantastic, all able to view the whole zoo in comfort.
Lot's to do for everyone, good value.
Hotel, campsite & great shopping.
Highly recommended.

Dinosaur exhibit was good. Most food places were closes, only offering unhealthy options. Feels like we paid full price for a half experience

One of the best kept wildlife parks we have visited (and we've visited a lot) and the animal enclosures are some of the biggest we've seen. As a result the animals do appear a lot happier, displaying more of their natural behaviours than in other parks. The only downside to this is you often don't actually see many of the animals.

On this particular visit we only saw around 5 different animals BUT I would much rather them be happy and healthy than readily on display.

The pricing is okay for the size of the place and the activities available however food and drink inside is expensive (as to be expected) so I highly recommend taking your own. We checked the website before visiting and had a look at food places that would be available, we planned to have lunch on site however everywhere we went was closed barring one coffee shop with minimal sandwiches and only a couple of cakes/snacks left by 1pm.

Plenty of parking available and not that far of a walk to the main gates, walking around the park does take a while as the place is huge so for the sake of your feet wear comfortable shoes. I can't count how many people we saw rubbing their feet in heels and flip flops!

We saw very minimal staff members but those we did see were friendly, the signage around the park is great and gives you plenty of information about the animals.

Overall it is a great day out, especially for families but I would recommend going during the weekend in the hope that cafes etc are open.
