From what we've seen so far of the Ring of Kerry, I feel that the Ring of Beara is considerably more interesting. The towns are all quaint and colorful, there are views every which way you turn your head, whether on the coast or up...More

Southern Ireland’s beauty is everywhere and the Ring of Beara does not disappoint. While it is very different from the Ring of Kerry we still enjoyed the drive along this Ring.

Amazing views. Very scenic - beautiful mountains - sheep nearby. Lovely and peaceful. Just beautiful on the penninsula near Dursey Island. Fabulous weather.

Amazing views all along. Very quiet roads, a little bit out the way from most tourist traffic. Some nice twisty scenic roads for bikers to enjoy. Preferred to the Ring of Kerry.

I do not know of a stables, but there might be one. Hiking definitely. It would probably be advisable to bring your own food.

Having been to both the Ring of Kerry and the Ring of Beara, I prefer the Ring of Beara. On a clear day there are some absolutely breathtaking views during the drive. The Garinish Island was a wonderful surprise. It's a... More
