We’ve enjoyed several trips to Ireland but our guided coastal walk with Celtic Nature Walking Tours was our all-time favorite experience. First, Claire was immensely helpful in setting up the walk to match our interests and schedule along with great tips for other parts of our itinerary in Connemara and Beara.

Kevin picked us up at 9:00 in the morning and the day’s adventure began with a fun and knowledgeable immersion into Irish history, language, culture and Dingle peninsula landscape as we drove along Slea Head to our walking route. We quickly realized this was going to be a very special experience. The views – ocean, islands and headlands--were spectacular; but so much more enjoyable and meaningful with Kevin’s easy commentary along the way. Five hours later, we found ourselves invigorated, happy and reluctant to end the tour in the drive back to Dingle. But it wasn’t over because Kevin treated us to some poetry and Irish tunes to top it all off. We tend to be rather independent explorers, but we can’t wait to return and book more touring with Claire and Kevin.

This was one of the very best activities during our stay in Dingle. The walking tour of Dunquin with Kevin was informative, entertaining, and well worth the nearly 5 hours we spent with him. Kevin is a gifted storyteller, historian, and hiking guide. From the initial inquiry with Claire to the completion of the hike, our experience with Celtic Nature Walking Tours was most enjoyable. I would strongly recommend this activity for groups small and large, including kids.

The looped walk with Kevin along the Dingle peninsula staring and returning to the Blasket Island welcome center was a highlight of our trip to Ireland. Not only was it a spectacular day, Kevin went at the pace of the group, so we never felt rushed or bored. He was a captivating storyteller, describing fairies to Irish lore, which was my favorite part. I would recommend bringing a sandwich, snacks, water on this walk, which we all had the foresight to do! I really enjoyed this walk and would highly recommend the Celtic Nature walking and Kevin in particular.

We originally booked our walking tour of the Dingle Peninsula back in 2019, planning to do it in April 2020. Those plans were scratched by the pandemic, and we tried to rebook a couple of times only to find it wouldn't work. We finally made it this year, and we are very grateful to Claire Galvin for sticking with us and being willing to make things work. We had a wonderful time, even though I had a fall on the second to last day of walking and couldn't walk the final day. Claire worked out rides for us, and we had a lovely end to the trip. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. Claire was wonderful, and we had a delightful day of walking with Kevin O'Shea, who gave us some lovely stories and really enlivened the trip. Fabulous time! We would strongly recommend spending longer than we did and take a day off between the walks. They are strenuous, but worth the effort. Waterproof hiking boots an absolute necessity. All of the B&B's we stayed in were first class -- friendly, comfortable, welcoming. Great food opportunities. Do it if you can!

Spent several very enjoyable hours walking with Kevin on their Dingle Way walk. You definitely need your boots as we walked on little trails amid grass and low brush, up and over hills. The result is great views of the coast in many directions. Kevin meanwhile provides commentary on history, Irish culture and mythology. This company only does private tours, so you're into bundled into a group.
I highly recommend booking a guided tour with this company.

We used Celtic Nature Walking Tours to organize and support our walk around the Dingle Peninsula and we couldn't be more pleased with the individual care, kindness, and service we recieved from Claire and Kevin. One reason we choose this service was because they are located on the Dingle Peninsula and have deep connections to the local communities and knowledge of the lore and history of this place. Because of this, we received an experience that was personal as Claire connected us to exceptional places to stay and people she knew to help us along the way. She was close by to help us whenever we needed it. We also spent a delightful day walking with Kevin who regaled us with his deep knowledge of history and lore of the area and his great sense of humor. We would highly recommend Celtic Nature Walking Tours to anyone who would like to walk in this magical landscape.

As tourists without a car, traveling under Summer 2021 Covid restrictions, until we called Celtic Nature Walking Tours, we'd just about given up on a day trip from Killarney to Dingle Peninsula. All the options we explored were prohibitively expensive. Then we called Claire, and she agreed that Kevin would pick us up in the town of Dingle, drive us to our hiking spot, lead us on our walk, and return us to Dingle. So, we arrived in Dingle (public buses, which worked fine), met up with Kevin and off we went. We had a wonderful hike culminating in a 360-view of the end of the peninsula. (I'm glad I brought my walking stick for some of it). The lighting and visibility was stunning much of the time. We could see all the major islands and the water and rocks made it glorious. All the while, Kevin was sharing his knowledge of the Irish language and the history of the area. We could not have asked for more. And, all for an extremely reasonable fee.

A big part of any successful trip is the planning and preparation. Normally we do all that ourselves when traveling. But after reading about Celtic Nature Walking Tours we decided to book with them and let them use their experience, knowledge and contacts to plan our vacation.

We have been absolutely impressed. Everything has been done with the utmost professionalism and kindness. When we got our itinerary in the mail it was much more complete and informative then we could have imagined. Claire has made everything so easy and taken 100% of the stress out of our vacation planning.

Anyone planning a trip to the Dingle Peninsula should book their vacation with Celtic Nature.

We called at the last minute and Kevin made room for us in his day. He gave us a 2 1/2 hour walking tour of DIngle and along the way provided a history of the area and the current climate of the area. He is a local who knows lots of people along the walk and everyone wants to talk to him or say hi. I wish we had more time in Dingle as we would have loved to do a longer tour with him. When we come back we will contact him straight away. He's your guide in Dingle!

Their local knowledge gave Claire and Kevin the ability to book us in excellent accommodations during our walk around the Dingle peninsula. Claire provided a personalized itinerary with good contact information and instructions for all of our stops. I could never have assembled such a good tour from Canada. Kevin loves Irish history and culture; during our day with him, he overflowed with information, and he even knows the dates of the significant information. A good walking companion.
