We visited them in June 2016 but also worked them to research Mayo ancestors prior to our trip. The entire staff were professional and nice to work with. Specifically we worked with both Brendan and Treavor. Both provided meaningful information and provided assistance during our visit to actually locate and visit related sites. Excellent organization.

A great place for gaining an insight as to how the people of Southern Ireland lived. Some very upsetting pieces on display, and they are real, not made up ornaments.

A great way to pass a day in beautiful scenery and company, with a tea room to relax and take it all in. Well done to all involved.

An unassuming little place with a most delightful tea room, serving delicious home baked cakes, bread and muffins. Staffed by the affable Tricia, it is a real treat - real Irish hospitality.

This is gem of a place set in beautiful grounds with a lake and woodland walks. The museum is very interesting with lots of interactive screens showing wht life in Ireland was like (great for the kids). There is also a nice wee shop and cafe and entry to all of this is free.

Charming and quaint, you feel excited as soon as you start to fill out the application form. Brendan is a great researcher and happy to explain and answer as many questions and queries you may have.
