Venues as popular as Dicey Reilly's just don't come into existence...

Venues as popular as Dicey Reilly's just don't come into existence overnight. The hostelry dates back to 1856 when Micheal Gavigan first open the doors of the pub.Indeed the building was also the home of Margaret Delap who was later to become the wife of Thomas Barton of Barton and Guestier fame. No trip to Ballyshannon could be complete, without a visit to one of the towns longest established and finest hostelries, Dicey's as it is affectionately known by the locals. The family run bar, off licence & microbrewery is now in its third century of trading as a Public House and has come up for mention in publications all over the Globe. Winter Opening Hours Bar: Monday - Thursday from 4pm to close. They were closed for brewing but used the off licence and had a great chat with the owner, bought some of the local ale to take home.

Went in to have a look around, left with various ales and a nice bottle of Irish whiskey. Great selection of wines available. Served by a friendly and helpful young lady

Hats off to Brendan, Diceys is microbrewery and live music venue that does it right, huge choice of Irish craft beers and continental gear, enormous beer garden with decent sound system

Enjoyed a lovely summer's afternoon in the beer garden sampling some Donegal Porter and Pale Ale. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Paid several visits to Diceys whilst in Ballyshannon for the Rory Gallagher Festival. Our favourite bar by far. Great atmosphere, cracking musicians, excellent beer and a nice pub garden with resident burger van for the festival. Felt very at home and would definitely return if in the area again.

I'll keep it simple... Cracking pints, roaring fire on cold nights, sunny beer garden on warm days and friendly staff ! Off-licence next door to if you fancy a bottle of vino on the way home. Will continue to pop in on trips to Ballyshannon.

This has to be one of the best Pubs in Ireland with an off-licence par excellence. The atmosphere is always relaxed and the music always top class. A place to chill, bring your friends and enjoy, A great selection of craft beers including their own highly regarded line and knowledge friendly staff. Classy

Went in here with family to meet a couple they know. Was quiet at the start but filled up later in the night. Great Guinness, usual super efficient bar staff, lots of locally brewed craft beers. As the bar filled up, the musician got going, the beer went down and the Craic was mighty (helped by England getting beat in... More
