Didn't visit the castle itself but myself and three other lads were playing pitch and putt. 6 quid was decent value for a round but the course itself was very average. There was little to no variety between any of the holes. No mounds, bunkers,...More

Great tour and lots of historial information about the castle and grounds ... worth the time. Location was easy to get to found the gift shop to be a bit pricey but offered many uniques items.

It was a long tour for such a little castle but it was interesting. Just unlucky that we had a LOT of tourist buses arrive at the same time.

We visited on a lovely Irish October day and enjoyed our visit of the gardens. The tour of the castle was lively and informative. Strongly suggest a visit if you are in Malahide or in nearby Dublin.

I spent a wonderful day at Malahide Castle with two daughters and five grandchildren aged from 17 to 8 years. The playground is exceptional and there's no charge. I finally sneaked the opportunity to go on a zip line, something I've longed to do since...More

This extremely well-preserved castle is definitely worth a visit, even if just to walk the grounds, which is now a park. It's very close to Dublin so it's not a major road trip - there may even be a public bus that gets you there.

I would think the concert is outdoors. Lots of ground at the Castle. It is only a sort distance from the train station. enjoy.

They do hold concerts on the magnificent grounds. I would take a blanket or some chairs.

Yes you can! You can pay to get in, but you don't have to be tethered to a guide. Plus you get to explore the grounds behind the castle which is only accessible via paying as well.
