We had an excellent guide(Tim Crowley) which made a huge difference to our visit. There is only a shell of the original house left but with a guide it makes a lot of sense.

As his actual birthplace was destroyed this does not take a long time to get round. However, the information boards are good and it is a peaceful place in this day and age.
