This is a really hard site to find on a map. Use Google maps when you get to Dunarra and look for a circle on a hill. YOu can see the top of the thatch peeping out out the top. Worth a visit, however the so called venacular cottage adjoining the fort is not a good depiction of a cottage from that period. The door is located at the gable end (the original versions did not) and not much research went into its reconstruction. Please open up the fort as an amenity soon, it is sadly missed in an area... More

This restored ring fort is no longer being run as a public attraction, however, if you can locate it, you can access it. If you can then access some information about the ring fort on a mobile phone or before you go, it's a fascinating exhibition and a great shame it's not still open.

A restored ring fort located near the townland of Darrara, near Clonakilty Agricultural College. Entry fee is nominal. Interesting, guided tour. worth a visit
