The tour of the beautiful village of Kinsale with Barry was just as advertised: a stroll and plenty of history. The weekend tour we joined was a large group (20-25) but Barry did an excellent job of organizing us so that we never had difficulty hearing his stories or asking questions. The history of the port village was fascinating and... More

We have been to Knsale several times before but this is the first time we did the walk. The story of Kinsale was so refreshingly new and opened another face on Ireland history.

Our group of 3 siblings and 2 spouses were extremely pleased to have Barry as our walking tour guide of Kinsale. We read about this tour in Rick Steve's guidebook. We learned a lot about the town and thoroughly enjoyed Barry's informative commentary throughout the tour.

The tour with Don Moloney (of Don & Barry's Historic Stroll) was a highlight of our tour of County Cork and an our weeklong tour of Ireland. Informative, entertaining, and engaging, the tour was excellent. It touched on the geography of the harbour and town and noted the ripples through history of the Battle of Kinsale in 1601. It didn't... More

Our hosts at the Old Presbytery B&B, Noreen and Philip McEvoy, highly recommended this walking tour of Kinsale. Barry was outstanding. He was extremely interesting and his knowledge of Kinsale and it's history was commendable. He really enjoyed all our questions and went above and beyond to answer them all. Barry even stayed with us after the tour ended, to... More

We were so happy to have taken this tour. We aren't the tour group "touristy" type people, and we were a little hesitant at first, but it was such an amazing experience. Kinsale is steeped in history, and Barry gave us an excellent glimpse of that. The tour is walkable for almost anyone. There aren't any crazy hills, and it... More

Barry was our guide for the tour. He was genuine, funny and a wealth of historical knowledge. We ;learned more about the town in a short time than we could reading guidebooks or looking a plaques. His stories made the history of the town come to life. This is a must-do while you are in Kinsale.

Enjoyed an informative and humorous stroll with Barry as we were lead around the narrow streets of Kinsale.

Barry was a tour guide. Very professional and knowledgeable. My great-great grandmother was from Kinsale. After the tour Barry took the time and took us to a book store. Made some calls to friend to find out if they knew our family name. Also advised us where the Church was located to obtain information. I would like to mention Don&Barrys... More
