Very good golf course but expensive. The scenery of the Irish coast from the course is spectacular - a visit is worth it just for this. Very busy so advanced booking is advised otherwise you will be disappointed.

We enjoyed a fantastic, informative and entertaining walk around historic Kinsale with Dermot this afternoon. Dermot has extensive knowledge and is a skilled storyteller with a warm and witty approach. Highly recommended and thanks Dermot for a great experience!More
Thanks for this great review, much appreciated as it is always something special when visitors appreciate the unique style of the walk which brings the history to life with the maps and old photographs. Enjoyment is the key to learning history as schools tended to...More
Dermot Ryan was interesting, informative, personable and funny. We really enjoyed his anecdotes about the history of this town. If only history teachers in school could be so interesting!!!
Thanks for the review...It was great to have such a response. I taught history at different levels for 40 years using the same approach with maps, photographs and stories to get attention..and it worked !!!
Our family of four took this walk in November of 2018 and it was wonderful. Dermot Ryan, our guide, was witty and exceptionally informative. This tour is the perfect way to get to know the city and to get a sense of Irish history. I...More
Lovely to hear that you enjoyed the Kinsale Walking Tour. It is a very interesting town and mirrors the history of Ireland so that you are something of an expert on the history of the country at the end !
We enjoyed a 1 hour walking tour with Dermot Ryan. He gave us a lot of information about Kinsale and had a good sense of humor. The tour starts at the Tourist Office at 10:30 am daily.More
Glad to hear that you enjoyed the tour and a touch of humour as this is the ideal way to learn of the history of our town which reflects the history of Ireland. It is a bit like the song "A spoonful of sugar makes...More
We all enjoyed the walk and commentary. Details on Irish history told in an amusing way. The stories gave a personal side to historical events. If you are touchy about your country's politics you might hear some comments you do not like.
Great to hear that you enjoyed the walk as enjoyment is essential to remembering the history as shown with the maps and photographs, otherwise an hour listening to a lecture type walk can be boring and forgettable.
My mom and I were at the visitor's centre in Kinsale, and she was approached by the tour guide to take a tour. It was fun and informative, and he was very kind, patient, and aware of my mom (she does not walk fast or...More
Thanks for the great review, much appreciated. Kinsale is an ideal town for walking as it is level, with footpaths dished for wheelchair access. It is also great for history with a story around every corner to make a visit an unforgettable experince.
I was part of a group of 12 or so who had the great pleasure of a most informative stroll about the Market area of Kinsale, and even though I have been coming to Kinsale for decades learned more about the town today than in...More

Had a fantastic tour around the town. Dermot was very amusing and told great stories. The visual aids were brilliant. He had brought an A4 Lever Arch file and showed us old pictures of times past of the places we visited. Most ennoyable
Loved the history and our guide.Walk was very short, more of a historic telling in the town center. I would love to have ridden around the whole town to be able to take pictures.More
Good to hear that you loved the walks which last an hour plus which is usually the time that visitors prefer. We also offer an extended visit for those who would like to explore further so if you are in Kinsale again let me know...More
