Came here yesterday with a friend, the weather was great and the views here are amazing. It is nice to walk around and there a few exhibitions as well. For €4 I feel it is not badly priced either.

If you are a history buss you will thoroughly enjoy visiting Charles Fort. There are interactive exhibits that are truly informative. The sight is very well maintained and the staff was very accommodating. When I arrived the electricity had gone out and they cut admission in half. It soon came back on and I enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the... More

Charles Fort combines bringing Irish history of the 14th-17th centuries to life, and amazing scenery of West Cork. It would be a great place to bring children too.

Charles fort really is worth a visit. We came here and the guided tour was just taking off, so we joined that. I would recommend going on the tour, as it is a very big fort, and you get interesting information from the tour guide. Spectacular views over Kinsale town from here. There is a café on site aswell, with... More

We loved Charles Fort. The view is amazing and it's very well preserved. So Irish and green. Very easy to park and walk around having the wild Atlantic as a view

Charles Fort is a very impressive historical monument that is certainly worth a few hours of your trip to Kinsale. The views alone are spectacular. It was quite windy, but we were lucky to have a clear sunny day.

A nice dry day to visit but the wind made it Baltic conditions so wrap up well. Definitely worth a trip for the views alone. Some nice interactive displays and back stories of the military personnel based at the fort. My 6 year old loves it and was full of questions.

Really interesting place. My friend and I got there 10am on a Friday morning in October, there were only 2 other people there. Beautiful views from here also. Plus there is a little coffee/tea shop.
