Drove up Sky Road on a cold wet November afternoon. Scenery was stunning. The road is narrow in places but there are plenty of spots for cars to pull in. The viewing area has ample parking. Make sure to visit during day light hours. The...More

We drove up after a recent storm. The view was spectacular. The roads are narrow in places but there are cutaways where you can let oncoming traffic pass by.

Fair dinkum people ! DO NOT be deterred from doing this drive. Sensational views ! Drive slowly and stay alert. You won’t fall of the side of a mountain ! It was FUN !!! Maybe skip if it’s snowing !!!

There is a great spot to enjoy the views, which are best enjoyed at sunset, after a lovely meal in Clifden.

This is a long road in Connemara that has amazing sea views! It’s a must drive! We had our own car. My favorite views in Ireland. We stopped a few times but the actual Sky road probably took us an hour or so. We went...More

Yes it is possible to cycle if you have the energy in your legs for steep climbs and are not afraid of steep downhills. Clifden is a good base for Connemara
