Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

2021 and lots of jelly fish around .kids refused to swim in it .no access to motor homes as a barrier prevents entry to parking.nice dog walk if you have dogs.kept clean by kerry county council.you would want to arrive when the tide is fully out as there is not alot of sand when it comes in quick .there are concrete pathways down onto the beach.nice restaurant on the beach front with good food.also one shop during the season which is open.some people camp near the dunes in tents.disabled parking is also on the beachfront for blue badge holders.big playground across from beach.

I’ve been to a lot of beaches but this one has one of the best backdrops ever. If you find a spot on the top of the dunes there is endless photo ops. Everytime I’ve been there the weather has been amazing, so maybe rose tinted glasses but definitely a beach to visit. Park further down towards the dunes and then start your walk from there

Thought we’d stop for a swim but as we’re in a motorhome we could not access the large car park, and road spaces were blocked by concrete blocks! A. Sign said we could park half a kilometre away……so we decided to give it a miss. Seems such a shame not to allow taller vehicles during the day. .

Spent a good long day at this beach with tweens. Lovely beach with great big rocks to sit on. Great area for walks too. Small shop, take away and restaurant. Plenty parking with height barrier but some spaces for campervans also.

The setting is lovely but the beach is a bit underwhelming as there is not much dry sand to set up on (at least where we were at the start) and quite rocky. A fair few dodgy characters about the place. A nice play park and a few places to grab chips, beer too.

Read about the beach in a blog when planning our trip from the UK. Disappointing when we turned up in a reasonably sized motorhome and there are height barriers and blocks on the road spaces. Someone has kindly provided some MH friendly parking up the road but as I have an Achilles injury I wasn’t up to the walk down and back to the beach. So rather than spending money in the local amenities, we had a nice cup of tea in our van and enjoyed views. Many places are able to cope with putting up no overnight parking signs if that is the problem. Sad that we are excluded.

We stopped at Rossbeigh Beach at the right time. The tide was out, so, there was plenty of sand to walk on. I can imagine that there is not much beach to enjoy during high tide. There is ample parking and the facilities at the entrance to the beach are well-maintained.

It's a stunning location, we had a great time there, camping nearby and had surf lessons too! There are mountains all around and the beach itself is amazing. Good, traditional music at a nearby pub, can't remember the name though!

The beach is a mix of sand and pebbles and is much longer than you think it is, making it marvellous for a great walk there and back! it's about 2 miles from the beginning of the car park to the far end, and is variously bracing, invigorating, and relaxing.

Check and watch the tides, as there is one area towards the far end where you could have an awkward scramble up some steep sandy dune faces if you get badly caught out.

Much much nicer and cleaner than Inch beach on the other side of the bay, this is a destination we go to for a good sea walk as often as possible.

The nearby town of Glenbeigh is a tourist place so there are undoubtedly places to eat and drink there. The beach is just a beach, although there are toilets beside the car park.

Great place to have a good stride out and clear the head and lungs.

Its time for Rossbeigh and Kerry Co. Council to shake themselves up and realise the potential for business which campervanning facilities can bring to an area, The car park facility was blocked off by barriers preventing Campervans from entering. Thats fine if some spaces were made available elesewhere for campervans - but ...no such consideration - what a shame We didn't stay - not in an unwelcoming place as Rossbeigh and moved on.
