The Church of Ireland church of St Brendan looked nice from the quay but unfortunately was closed today. The pretty clock showed the correct time.

This church was very close to the main square of Bantry. It looked very interesting from the outside but the cleric there said the inside was closed so I cannot comment on the inside.

A great music venue, but also a window on the days when the protestant religion was thriving in Ireland. It is a a great shame there are not more of these churches in such excellent preservation.

It is very centrally located so it takes no time at all to pop in and have a look around. Well kept and maintained. Beautiful church

A typical 19th century Church of Ireland parish church. Nothing spectacular, some stained glass windows and a few historical plaques mostly commemorating the military offspring of local landed gentry.

This beautiful old church was built in 1818, and it's Church of Ireland. It was designed by Henry Edward Kendall, and it's gothic style. It's situated in the centre of town, just off Wolfe Tone Square. Bantry claims an ancient connection with St Brendan, who...More
