Interesting if you like stained glass windows and large churches! And a climb! A nice structure! Gothic?

Came home for a few days to see family with my young family, snd brought them here, was a lovely Cathedral when I was growing up, and even more beautiful going back as an adult.

Not much to tell. We walked from our b&b (Mount View) and, on our way down into Cobh, we stopped at the cathedral. The architecture is breathtaking...so much detail, such amazing craftsmanship. It seems to go on and on. I read one review from someone who was disappointed to learn that the cathedral way only completed in 1919. They didn't... More

We visited the church and it was just beautiful. We arrived at a good moment. A wedding was happening in the afternoon so a singer was rehearsing his performance. It was just magical and breath-taking to hear and enjoy the opera music in this amazing church.

This is a stunning church overlooking the town of Cobh. It is a very steep walk to get up to the church though.

St. Colman's is visually stunning and a beautiful example of architecture. The views are remarkable and every part of the cathedral is just amazing. Once you make it down to the streets below, you realize how imposing the cathedral really is. Very humbling to explore such an impressive space.

A grandiose neo-Gothic building in Cobh, County Cork, St Colman’s Cathedral took 47 years to build and finally opened in 1911. Its spire stands 100m tall and the tower houses 42 bells, comprising the largest carillon in Ireland. Located along the sea in County Cork, the town of Cobh is home to the impressive St Colman’s Cathedral. Built in the... More
