Beautiful spot heavenly when the sun shines. Only downside is uncaring dog owners who use it to toilet their dogs and don't clean up or worse when they bag it and throw that away.

I was infact staying very close to the beach and planned to visit, its a lovely beach big enough to have a decent walk, and also very clean, should surely visit if around the area.

Accessible from either end this is a beautiful beach that gets good waves from the open Atlantic. At one end the Barleycove beach hotel offers a bar and restaurant and at the other no temptation. The car park at the causeway end has a height...More

I have been to Barley Cove Beach over the years and it still looks as stunning as ever. Idyllic in every sense on the most South Western tip of Ireland at the end of the Mizzen Peninsula. It's great for all beach activities from surfing...More

weather was not the best but the walk out and on this beach is something you have to do! Just amazing untouched beauty a true beach lovers paradise even if it's dreary out.

I highly recommend visiting this pristine beach, the scenery was breathtaking all along the coast. We were lucky enough to visit during a beautiful sunny, warn day and walked in the sand. The water was a little cool for us but very peaceful.

I love this beach. Plenty of parking, nice walkway that takes you from the lot to the beach, and simply gorgeous.

It is a nice beach, very good visible and recognizable from above.blue water, white sand. I think it is great to visit not only in summer but in winter as well.

I love the cleanliness of the water and beach. Very easy to access the beach with the boardwalk and pontoon.

Barleycove is not accessible. There are not many accessible beaches in this part of West Cork but the best bet option might be Ballyrisode since the beach is more or less at the same level as the road but parking in that... More

We visited Barley Cove in early June and don't recall seeing any 'dog' restrictions. Its easily the best beach in the area and well worth a visit.
