What an amazing stretch of beach. Only thing missing is bins. (Esp for dog poo) went a number of times and Every Time is was different. Dogs loved it. Part of wild Atlantic way. The floating bridge wasn't built, so missed the ocean view.

This is a magnificent beach near Schull and is in waters with no pollution which explains why the fish taste so good

Just spectacular. Cross on the floating bridge to get there (kids adore it) and enjoy the soft, flat sands. Obey the lifeguards, who will ensure a safe haven for your family. Have a lovely day, scenery, sea, relaxation. No toilets unless you visit one mobile...More

Visited yesterday, as a great run for dogs, parked in carpark which leads across dunes to pontoon bridge. Only to discover that pontoon bridge had been dismantled, so no access across river to get to beach. Several notices about not climbing on dunes. We noticed...More

One of the nicest if not the nicest beach iv ever seen. Golden sand , no stones, no seaweed, just perfection. Will be back in the summer.

Fantastic beach! So clean and unspoilt. The water was crystal clear and was safe to swim from. Lifeguards are also present on this beach. Such a pretty location. Highly recommend this beach to everyone!

Yes no problem there are many shore fishing spots and boat rental options here.in summer season.

Barleycove is not accessible. There are not many accessible beaches in this part of West Cork but the best bet option might be Ballyrisode since the beach is more or less at the same level as the road but parking in that... More
