We finally visited Kilfane Waterfall & Glen and can't believe why we left it so long. It is beautiful and very special. Lovely spots to stop and take in the beauty. Great welcome at the entrance. Really worth not just one but many visits.

I simply adore kilfane waterfall & garden. I've visited it 4 times this summer. Each time it's just as amazing as the first very visit.

We had been here once and LOVED it but it was closed as of August 31 - I was so disappointed. Surely you can stay open longer!

Expensive entrance price for a very average experience. Not much there at all. One of our group fell and broke his arm here. Quite slippery and steep. Waterfall very ho-hum. Lot of money, effort and extra driving to get to an underwhelming waterfall - seen many for free that are hugely better. Would advise others not to bother - there... More

Where the waterfall is situated is picturesque with a thatched cottage in the glen, just beautiful. Because of the weather when we visited we were lucky enough to have the most beautiful little rainbow at the bottom of the waterfall. To get to the glen you walk through wooded areas and a rather steep decline so watch out if you... More

Well worth a detour for a magical experience if you have an hour or more to spare!....be sure to follow it up with a visit to one of the lovely cafes in the heritage town of Thomastown or grab a takeaway coffee down onto the banks of the River Nore and wander around some of the local craft shops. The... More

On our recent trip to Ireland from the states, my daughter had researched a few places which I thought we simply wouldn't have time to see. This was one of them, but it fit our schedule on the day we left Kilkenny and headed to Dingle. We first drove to Thomastown for breakfast at the Blackberry Cafe which I also... More

A lovely quaint spot for a picnic or just to get out for a bit of R&R, there's a few sculptures around to look at. Beautiful gardens with a short walking trail. It's €7 for a family pass, and has lots of character

Brilliant day out. Walking around the gardens and the maze. The walk through the woods leading to the waterfall and the wood cutters house at the bottom of the trail is an absolute gem. Have a cup of tea or coffee and a cake at the house and ware some comfortable footwear.
