We sat in what used to be servant quarters A visit to the ruins of a church built in the 12th century and a cemetery followed The owners did a demonstration of a working dog and some sheeps. We were told Jerpoint Park "The lost town" might be closed for the season but decided to try it anyway. We ran the bell and Joe was willing to give us a tour. Absolutey fascinating. The footprint of this 12th century town was discovered a few years ago after he had purchased the property and it is a very significant... More

It is very funny that at one point there is a farm where you can experience sheepdog demonstration when the dog gathers the sheep and on the other hand there is the 12th century ''lost city'' so you have 2 in 1. Good thing is that you can meet local people and the owners of this place and have a... More

Here you have the opportunity to discover the "lost town" of Jerpoint which was founded in the 12th Century. You will also have the opportunity to meet Joe and Moeve O'Connell in their home, Belmont house,,,,,here the town was unearthed. A fascination location to visit.

Not sure how my daughter found this stop, but she made a call and Joe said stop on by...he greeted our van of 6 (I think we paid 10e each) and took us on a wonderful tour of his property...chock full of history, humor, stories of St Nick, his endeavors to maintain this VERY interesting historical piece of land. The farm owners (warm couple!) took great pride in showing our Grand Circle Travel group around their farm and through the medieval village. Maeve herself led the tour, discussing the history and importance of the area (based on substantial personal research), and provided valuable insights on the process and problems of conserving such a national treasure. She then served us... More

The room for scones and tea were rustic and full of traditional English tea place flavor. Unfortunately the scones were a disappointment and couldn't match up with it's perfect surroundings.

As part of our private CIE tour, our group of 12 family and friends stopped at Jerpoint Park in Kilkenny for a couple of hours to visit what they called a "farm" and see a sheep dog do his thing with sheep. Well, that was just a small part of this wonderful experience! We were met by the farm owner,... More
