Our guides felt we should view their version of a large waterfall which was easily achieved by walking along a well defined path, some of it in boardwalk. The rhododendrons were out in full bloom as this was June and sheep grazed on the other...More

The whole area with the lake and the waterfall is very pretty but there's not much to see there. It does however have great infrastructure around it with toilets and a little cafe. It was pretty but left me wondering...is that it?

A tranquil treasure nestled in the valley. It is well worth a diversion to spend some quality time just enjoying the serene lake, waterfall and surrounding countryside. The Tea-Shed is a non-invasive welcome addition for days when there is some drizzle rolling down from the...More

Beautiful waterfall with steps up to view it close up. Lovely surrounding countryside... fields, wild flowers, sheep, glencar lough, all nestled in among surrounding hills. So relaxing.

There is some great scenery on view as you snake your way from the main road through Yeats country. The car park overlooks Glencar Lough and once you cross the road the waterfall is a short walk through a wooded area. Although maybe not considered...More

No Cathy, it's really close to the carpark and the few steps are wide and levelled. You'll love it there.

You can get up close to the waterfall with a pram. There are steps at the top if you want to get very close but you can see all you need to see without climbing the steps
