Four of us took the little ferry to Ireland's Eye just for the boat trip. We had arrived at Dublin Airport in the wee hours, and had some time to kill before checking into our hotel. Cruising through the brisk sea air was a great way to fight off jet lag and lack of sleep. We didn't get to explore... More

Nice island. Good views. Sea birds. Seals. Monastery. Good for short walks. Lacks wheelchair access.

The trip is well worth taking it on a nice sunny and calm day. You can explore the island in 1-2 hours and experience great views all the way around. The down side is the boat itself as there is no dock in the island so to get in and out to the island is very dangerous as rocks are... More

Visit Howth, take the ferry from the end of the pier. It's a great trip in itself. The island is rugged, a bird sanctuary, and a great adventure, and the boat ride is less than 45 minutes round trip so its great for little kids too. If you get the day for it, pack a picnic and stay, sit on... More

It's not the kind of trip I would have chosen myself as I live near the sea and see seagulls all the time, but I went with a friend who wanted to go. As soon as we stepped onto the boat there were two seals right beside the boat. One of them was "waving" at the people on the boat,... More

The island is a wonderful place to relax and the sounds of the birds are truly magical. Spending a couple of hours here is well worth the time.

We were dropped off on the island onto a rock/stone area that seems to be naturally there, not a dock! Was told we had an hour. Made it up the sketchy stone steps to the land. It's awesome but we were unsure where it would be safe to walk as there was alot of vegetation on the ground so not... More

You can either take a tour around the island and look for sea lions...or you can be dropped off on the island and explore for an hour and the boat/ferry will come back and pick you up. I paid 15 Euros. I asked to be dropped off and walked around looking at the birds and an abandoned building and the... More
