Howth is a thirty minute train ride from Dublin--an easy day trip. No need for a car, with plenty of shops and restaurants in walking distance of station. We took a boat ride out to Ireland's Eye.

Howth is definitely a must when visiting Dublin, the place is stunning. A beautiful seaside port with beautiful views, lovely little shops and restaurants.

Drove from Dublin city and were pleasantly surprised at what a nice seaside place this was so close to town. Drive to and from was nice too. Been here a few times now and always enjoy the break
