Myself and my family made this trip up to Hudson Bay. Lovely trip and the boat is very safe. The captain has great knowledge of the lake and the views were lovely. A well price day out for the family.

You’d have to call Viking for that - they usually provide daily walking excursions at no extra cost - with more extensive ones for additional fees -

It goes from Athlone to the Hodson Bay Hotel - stops there to pick up passengers and then goes back into Athlone. No stop at Clonmacnoise. 10 Euro per adult / 5 per kid or 30 for family (around 45 Aus $)
