A very large and extremely well frequented pub. The sawdust on the floor complements the claim of this being the oldest pub in Ireland. Confirmed by the Guinness Book of Records.

The oldest pub in Ireland & one of the best. Fantastic old pub, like walking back in time. Very busy, great traditional music. Excellent garden bar out the back for the super summer we’ve been enjoying here.

Love the charm and history and current Guinness world record holder for oldest running pub...Staff were so friendly and gave a history of the location including the building materials that still exist in the walls. Could see this as a popular hangout for locals.

It's the oldest bar in Ireland, so that's cool. But that's about it. It's really only worth going if you want to be able to say that you've been there.

Great atmosphere inside and outside the bar, it is worth visiting the back of the beer garden on a sunny day as it looks out onto the river Shannon.

Hi Grainne, Thanks for your enquiry. On a Saturday night we do not hold reserve areas due to the size of the pub and the crowds that visit the pub on a Saturday night. We can hold a space up to around 6/7pm if that suited... More
