Fog and fairly heavy rain prevented us from climbing very far, but we did enjoy half a mile out and in, and in particular seeing what Irish bogs were really like. One aspect we learned about -- “Bog butter”, a butter that has been buried in a bog. The Irish Times describes it as a “creamy white dairy product, which... More

A picture postcard that you drive through, one beautiful, timeless place. When you drive there, the roads are clear of congestion and you can breath. A great place to fee free and relax in nature. CR

Only my 4th hike but this was a challenge. Very boggy and marshy at the foot and shingle/rocks at the top. Just be careful coming down. Great views from the top.

Take the drive tour, or stop and climb, absolutely fantastic views. Safety first on the climb, it's easy going, but narrow at the top, but worth it!

The mountain is in the north west of the wonderrful Glenveagh national park, you can see it from miles away and you can get very close to it by driving, the roads through the park are very good.

An easy mountain climb. Don't be fooled. It's a tough day out to get to the top but well worth it for the view if you do. Bring good waterproof footwear as the lower stretches are very boggy. Something not to miss if you are reasonably fit and want to do more on holiday than be a couch potato!

There's no place like Co Donegal. I only realise that since living in France for 13 years. Errigal and it's environs give you the most out of this world feeling. My mother said "you forget everything because the landscape is so captivating". She's a young 85 year old. The hike up Errigal is worth the walk. I was well out... More
